game 10: end up in some sort of cat and mouse game with another mage where I'm trying to play protect Ragnaros again. he pops my first counterspell with an arcane missiles and I do some inefficient stuff in order to get a board state where I can follow my second counterspell with Rag. Alexstrasza appears from his side nuking me to 15, but I'm okay since rag will either kill the dragon or put him at 1. Rag shoots his face. He would need to have random spell + fireball to actually kill me (with Alex hit + fireball + hero power) but he doesn't.
interestingly most of these games with counterspell end up with "well played" and Cairne hardly ever shows up.
game 11: hunter with lots of removal. I ignore one of the 1/1s from a snake trap rather than waste a frost bolt on it and take 2 kill commands to the face on t8 leaving me on 3 hit points. I respond with dropping ragnaros on an empty board and he shoots me and drops abomination. fortunately I have fireball + 2 frost bolt in hand to avoid the coin flip.
9-2 so far. fun deck

@uber: Did you end up playing Kolento with this deck? I watched him play a mage @11-2 and the deck list was basically the same but I somehow didn't pay attention to the players name.
If so, nice win.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

also, don't even know this crappy deck has 7 wins but somehow my weak creatures are able to bleed decks with better cards out in the late game:
Crapadin
1 - blessing of wisdom, noble sacrifice, elven archer, south sea deckhand
2- equality, amani, argent protector, faerie dragon, frostwolf grunt, loot hoarder, mana addict, river croc, sunfury protector
3 - sword of justice, earthen ring far seer, raging worgen, scarlet crusader
4 - blessing of kings, consecrate x2, yeti, dwarf, gnomish inventor x2, oasis snap jaw, spell breaker
5 - abomination, azure drake
6 - frost elemental
7- guardian of kings

Had a nice warrior deck going, but ended up 8-3.
Last turn my opponent kills my arcanite reaper with acidic swamp ooze, and this turn - the mighty mana wraith.
Worst thing is, he'll never know how lucky that mana wraith was.

Molach.
Seriously, when things like these happen, I can't help thinking that the other player is sniping me, even though I don't stream.
I've been doing really good (for my standards) in Arena after that draft I posted. I had 2 8-wins streaks with mages and an 11 wins with a warrior. I reached 11-1 with it and took screenshots of the deck to show here, but I lost the next 2 games. It was a very solid deck, lots of weapons (Gorehowl was the star of the deck) and very good 2 to 4 mana drops. Last game I lost to a druid that had 2 swipes to throw at my face at 8 mana, just after I managed to get board control. I was at 7 health.
I'm getting good at playing against Paladins in Arena, playing around consecration, truesilvers and argent protectors. That's probably why I'm getting better results. Than I reach the "mage-area" and I lose, that's why I'm not getting even better results.

One of the best things about arena is that bad cards occasionally get their chance to shine, I once held the one mana 1/2 that removes 1 durability from a weapon all game and used it to break a crucial Truesilver Champion at the end.
mana wraith is hilarious

Couldn't agree more.
