I wish. Actually it's because Dave gifted me gpt deals instead of just offering gold each turn.

Sorry for lack of updates. Luddite got a spear into Hangzhou, so the two HAs I sent to it couldn't take it. I do have a HA and Longbow parked on the hill 1S of the city though that I plan to keep there for a nice long while.

In other news, found this this most recent turn:

More notable than the mongol archer (which is certainly just a sentry unit) is the borders you can make out in the NW. I would really rather like to take those pigs and wheat, so I am quickly getting out a settler and longbow pair. Exact city spot(s) will depend on what my archer reveals in the next couple of turns.

Also a small note (which I also sent in game) but I need gold for this turn WK. Could you end India's turn after sending that to me by chance? Thanks.

Done. You got a free Hindu spread in Brother Mouzane (I think?), but otherwise nothing unusual. It seems you've overtaken me in food, but I guess I shouldn't really complain about that too much. (oh, and thanks for the rice smile)

BTW, any chance I can borrow stone off you sometime soon? I may need to build walls in my border city, would prefer to do it now rather than when an invasion arrives.

I just looked in the save and noticed those are Luddite's borders. He's a lot closer than I thought.

Borrowing stone would be fine, let me know when you want it (most of my border cities are on hills so at least for now I feel pretty safe with longbows and no walls).

That's some nice news on the religion spread as brother mouzone will likely be building a library somewhat soon so OR will be nice.

Your future wheat/pigs city strikes me as the best site for a culture bomb if we wanted to use one. It would steal Speaker's wheat and create a cultural salient between his and Luddite's borders, making it difficult to attack you in the west.

The one problem with the city that I can forsee is that an army can march right up to it using the hills for defensive cover. While it does make it less vulnerable to a strike from mounted units, he could feasibly use a bunch of guerilla II units to blitz to the city, albeit without siege support. 60% cultural borders would make anything short of an all-out attack with siege on this city impossible.

EDIT: Realize I'm repeating a bit of what you already said in the Team Strategy Thread.

Alright, I haven't update in forever, so here's an update from me:

Here's the west, where I want to plant a new city:

The issue however is that speaker has at least an archer, mace, keshik, and spear in the area. I don't feel safe yet settling with just a longbow, so I want to at least get one knight out somewhere before that settler.

Here is my other settling spot:

This I am much safer with. I've had a warrior on the hill 1N of the city spot for eternity and the first unit it has seen is that archer. One longbow there and I feel safe. The settler, if you can't tell, is 1S of the city spot currently (along with two workers which will road 1N so it can be settled next turn). Build order will be a chopped workboat and then other things as needed.

Here are two cities which I don't think I've shown pictures of settling:

And the back side of my empire:

Finally and most interestingly, I just last turn completed two knights I plan to hit Hangzhou with. The city is currently defended by just 2 archers and a spear (with one archer I can see in range to move in). I will probably go in with just two knights, two HAs, and the LB sitting out there. He has no stronger units he can built, so I'm not too worried about my chances unless he has like 10 spears in the fog, which I doubt. I will use fast workers to road NE of my city for a one turn surprise move from my "staging" tile.

I'm now up to 17 Fast workers for what will be 9 cities this coming turn.

Bad news Shoot, looks like Speaker has finally used the Music Artist they got so long ago:

Fortunately it seems to be more focused against Team 2, although it affects you nonetheless. Want to try and get visibility on the city in question?

That's annoying banghead

Ironic given that we were considering culture bombing the same location. I can't believe I didn't notice that when I was in the game.

Big news from last turn:

Pretty certain the city is located on the northern "t126 mongol archer sign". Will get visibility next turn with the longbow I have on my now outdated "c?" sign.

Also, WK/Dave, I am going to be flying to Hawaii tomorrow. Knowing how hit or miss internet access can be at airports, I may or may not be able to play my turn tomorrow (it will also depend on the timing of when the turn rolls). If the timer is running down, or if I post here (on my phone) saying I can't play could one of you cover? I have put signs in game for everything that needs to be done, so you should just have to follow those (nothing tricky really, mostly just worker micro with a bit of unit movement).
