God, that Kuriotate capital is terrible.

Here's a thought: scorch around the city, spring the deserts, and *let* the barbarians take the city. Settle supercity #3 as normal. Recapture the capital as a settlement.

Military State for Drafting/cash rushing (on a commerce rich map cash rushing can be very useful).

Conquest to turn that extra food directly into hammers for war toys while still working your food/hammer/commerce tiles. Plus some valuable xp.

There's more than one way to skin this cat. wink

You can cash-rush infrastructure too ( so again Military State / Arete )

And yes, Llewyn is his typical bloodthirsty self. Considering that Ellimist is about to get PZs there should be much amusement.

Booyah. This should be some fun. :hat:

By "infrastructure" I assume you guys are talking about things like Training Yards and Stables?

And Markets, you need to pay the troops wink

In the meantime Ellimist finally got an eureka moment, so no walk in the park for Llewyn and things should get interesting soon.

Rabidly aggressive. Love it lol

I know Ellimist wants to summon Mulcarn to destroy his enemies, but it's probably not going to work considering he'll be walking along desert (defensive malus), and Lewwyn will have Hawks to see it coming frown

Humm? What do you mean by summon Mulcarn?

What Ellimist is considering is springing one of the desert tiles separating ice hordes from the inside disc. This would make the barrier passable and cause *everything* ( almost, few monsters are held ) on the ice to flood into habitable land.

What I think he assumes is that all wedges are separated by desert and thus breaching a barrier would only doom Lewwyn. This is not true, wedge borders are monster passable, piercing barrier anywhere dooms everyone, except the people with Sun mana adept at hand and enough warning to scorch all their borders.

It's true though that Sidar with Hawks should see it coming and pre-emptively strike to terminate said threat.

If breaching the barriers between the mortal realm and the frozen realm not a metaphor for summoning Mulcarn, I dunno what is lol

But the point is, Lewwyn will see it coming, and he'll probably succeed in putting a dampener on it frown
