Towards a Space Elevator clearly. Space Victories take careful planning and preparation. Without a solid foundation now, how can he possibly expect to pull it off? Pouring concrete takes time.

Actually, Sian completed Stonehenge last turn.

Excellent, my analyses are fundamentally sound.

Sian, please settle 1 south east, otherwise our 1st rings are touching, and close borders/early conflict are just going make SAT stronger, and jeopardise your wonder plans. You're going to be grabbing the sheep anyway using your free monument, and settling 1SE gives you a stronger city with those pigs.

I know you want the wheat in your new city's BFC, but remember, there is a strip of beautiful riverside grass just west of your capital and outside any BFC. If you want a city to use those riverside grass, then the wheat is going to belong to that riverside grass city anyway.

given that it would mess up my dotmapping, and it was you that (selfadmittedly) settled somewhat aggessively, and my city can't be seen as more aggessively against you, i think i go with a 'nah'

My city was hardly aggressive, I would deem anyone who doesn't settle a hill city bordering the person with Cataphracts to be negligent. As I said, my city was purely defensive, if I wanted to landgrab, I would have settled 1E for a plains hill centre and with sheep was in 1st ring.

I'd still be willing to cut a deal. For instance, I am going to tech writing for open borders, and I have another settler under production, and am willing to sell him and a worker to you in exchange for razing and replacing that city somewhere that doesn't jeopardise my security. Any thoughts? Counteroffers?

Ugh, no reply, obviously you're not yet interested in negotiating.

I've declared war with the aim of razing your city. My offer to replace the city still stands, as long as you settle in a location that does not threaten my security. This time, the offer is not as generous, merely a settler, and in approximately 10 turns, but nonetheless it's an opportunity to not fall behind your neighbours.

Finally SAT, I've accepted open borders, on the condition that you continue heading west and don't walk north. Feel free to make what gains you like against your cataphract-wielding neighbour, I'm unconcerned about your strength now. In fact, here's a free piece of information, there are 65 hammers in Loincloth's production box. If you want a nice shiny wonder to slingshot yourself to Code of Laws and get some Caste action going, now is your chance smile.

@ Nicolae, thanks for accepting the OB. We will carry on west and not move any further north than the line established by TCR. We don't want to spend the whole time walking through jungle. That good enough?

That sounds fine. You should be able to contact Thestick through Tankra. Later, once roads and sailing are up, we can get some foreign trade income going.

I have a minor request. Surely you have vision on Sian's city of Chiton, is there a warrior garrisoned inside? Are there any warriors around the landbridge between you and Sian?

regardin sat: they're our western neigbor. We've had contact since t4.
