Well anyway, I should be fine. For one thing I don't think Scooter was seriously attacking me- if he was, he would have waited in the fog one more turn, then appeared SW from my city so he could attack immediately. Doing it this way gives me way too much warning, so my guess is that he's just scouting (or maybe just blocking my oases?).

I'm going to keep building the pyramids at full steam for now. If he moves towards my capital I'll have to stop and build archers, though. I'm also moving in an archer from my NE city just in case.

Demos: someone is still ahead of me in soldiers, but at least I'm #1 in land area again.

Well, you know, aggressive scouting. If he saw my city undefended or with just a warrior I'm sure he'd attack, but i don't think he was planning to smash through archers with just 3 war chariots.

One upside to this attack is that if scooter built those WCs early enough for them to come bother me from ATs side, it means he didn't beeline the pyramids so I've probably got a lock on them now. And since he came from that side, it means I probably don't border him at all.

It would appear that AT ran him out of his lands, or scooter did enough damage that he wants to set someone else back. If I were him, I would just come terrorize your workers and improvements. Cut your trade routes by pillaging roads, and then come pillage your food and mess with your worker micro. Especially if he realizes your demos are so good.

Well he moved up his war chariots. Still threatening VentureCompound, but also threatening to move down to harass my capital.

Can I just take a second to rant about how overpowered war chariots are? They take an already powerful stock unit, the chariot, and add on a massive 25% increase in base strength. Then, as if that's not enough, they also gain first strike immunity just to guarantee that they'll slaughter archers with maximum efficiency.

Even with one of those WCs being injured, I think I'll need like 7 or 8 archers to bring them down.
