Simple rely sent so that they can accept the Open Borders request and we can get some trade routes going immediately.
Quote:We agree to the T100 NAP with the points you have mentioned. We also agree that Open Borders is good for us both right now for trade. I have just logged in again and sent the OB request, so you can log in and accept it whenever you want (either before or after the turn flips). And yes, included with a no scouting clause.

Houston, We Have a Problem....
Gillette is about to do their own aggressive settlement on our side of the mountains on the hill that gets them the two Wheat & the Horse. They already have a warrior fortified there, and they have a chariot (with a worker making a road) in the forest. And another worker that's also there that's been helping with the road. And their settler you can see over on their side of the mountain. This will screw us pretty bad for that section of the land.
This spot is only 6 tiles from our capital. And obviously since we lost our communications with scooter, their team has decided to go against our original talked about agreements that this side of the mountain belongs to us.
We need to decide what to say to them immediately. Sadly, I realized we never set a border type thing in our NAP agreement. Can't believe I didn't think of that at the time. Though we can always say something to them that it had already been agreed upon that this side of the mountain was ours and they are going against that agreement. Only problem is that we never actually had anything fully in writing of the agreement. And I'm sure they would bring up the fact that we settled our city too close to what was being talked about, as it does somewhat cut them off from the center of the map over there.

From Gillette:
Quote:Hi Menagarie-Trois,
I'm sure you've seen our lovely new city Blades of Steel. We'd be grateful if you'd move Coyote the axe north out of our lands as soon as possible in accordance with the no-scouting clause in our agreement. I'm sure you don't want us to close borders given the bonus the Great Lighthouse is giving you on trade with us.
All the best

I have sent the following message. Whether or not it's a good one, I've been wanting to say something about their settling of the city for awhile now.
Quote:He was on his way via automated destination to our city area to your northeast, and before I noticed it he was following the road you built and his orders did not get changed in time. He will be out of your borders shortly, for good. You're planting that city complicated movements, as that side of the mountains was supposed to be ours and you rather aggressively pushed beyond them to now be only a short distance from our capital. We would have appreciated a discussion that you were moving so close to us.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Message from Gillette:
Quote:Okay, well the accidental travel has got you visibility on Blades of Glory, it would be fair of you to offer us visibility on your copper city in return. What do you think?
Apologies for not consulting before settling that city, at one point in our negotiations we had offered you that area in return for the copper in the middle of the map but in the NAP we agreed at the end of November borders weren't discussed and when you settled the copper we assumed those discussions were null and void.
Merry Christmas to you too and sorry for the tardy reply
And my quick reply:
Quote:Yes, that is certainly fair and acceptable. Come on by and visit our pretty Pig Pen. I just advise against staying too long, as it gets pretty rowdy there.

From Gillette:
Quote:Thanks, we'll send a representative over in a couple of turns.
Changing the subject, our NAP is due to run out at the end of turn 100 - we'd be interested in extending it another 25 turns or so. How itchy are your spear fingers?
All the best

I guess we have to discuss this with the Trolls, as well as with ourselves. Do you think we'll be wanting to war by turn 100?
