Maybe... it all depends on what you want to do. If you want to grow, you should grow. But, if you're suddenly growing lots of cities all at once (for example, if you come into a big happycap increase all at once), then you have to adjust your expectations to your new rate of growth. You're either gonna have to put up with a few unimproved tiles for a few turns or else plan to get some extra workers out a few turns a bit earlier than you'd otherwise think you actually need them because the time you actually need them its already too late. For example, if you have a city that's growing a size every other turn, then a single worker can't keep up with that because the "cheapest" improvement, a flatland cottage, takes double that time to complete.
To put it another way, it's kinda like making scrambled eggs. By the time the eggs ready to eat in the pan, they're already overcooked.

![]() ![]() I whipped twice this turn, one was a whip I've been preparing for a few turns one is a 2 pop whip of a library that will hopefully help with the lack of good tiles to use.
Solidly middle of the pack
![]() Note that the GNP at 100% research on masonry (so pretty skewed on the other side, with double prereq and probably lots of KTB) puts me in second place. It doesn't mean I'm truly 2nd science wise but it sure feels fine. Those 20c I made with the second foreign trade routes is really nice.
Next 4 cities are coming in 5, 6, 7 and 7 turns respectively in sites 1 2 3 and 4.
![]() ![]() I got a good hinduism spread in Savea this turn (the fish/marble spot in the north). Edit : If you want a picture of that area there's one in post 101. The only difference is that Molach put a city on the x mark. Molach being creative he could have become a pain, but with this spread I'll hold him off for a while. Here are some demos : ![]()
I'm guessing this is going in TheWannabe's direction. I feel sorry for him, and glad that I got alphabet early for a diplo boost with my neighbors.

You know you can't settle both two and five, right?

Ah yes you're right, even though there's a channel between the two they're on the same landmass. I'll have to move 5 NW then.
