Joey's bonus scheme: Meh.

Mr. Cairo I'm not sure I was right when I put you in the no opinion on city trades line. Are you no opinion or no for this vote ?

A little more info on my thing. It is similar to the "christmas trees" concept of this adventure, as CH correctly guessed: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=6646

There will be certain tiles marked on the map, and you can claim/capture/control these tiles by expanding your culture onto them. At certain turns in the game (turns 5, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 300), you are encouraged to post an overview shot of your civ (yes, an ulterior motive revealed!) and count up the number of marked tiles you control. A leaderboard tally, of how many such tiles each player controls, will be posted in the tech thread (or maybe its own thread) shortly after each aforementioned turn number for all to see. That's why I said that it would be good for a non-map-trading game, as here's a little info you can get without trading maps.

It is supposed to just be for fun and bragging rights; shouldn't affect the main competitive aspect game at all. You can even opt-out by not posting your total, I guess.

Ok I'm voting yes for that now

My votes:

City Trades in Peace Treaties

Yes for Joey's idea

Meh on pick method

Yeah, I'm with no opinion on city trades, and am now in favour of Joey's bonus scheme

It was firmly pointed out to me in PB28 that decline-reoffer is not something you can count on, that only the trade in the diplo window at the moment it's onscreen is an actual promise. Your method cannot work unless decline-reoffer is written into the game rules directly.

Yep. Always the possibility of being back stabbed. It's possible and prudent to examine through the diplo interface before accepting or declining.

Joey, I'm fine with a little fluff. That sounds like an unobtrusive addition so it's fine with me. I don't see the lurkers clamoring for control points over blood though. wink

And this time,
there were some posts in the tech thread
about some stuff
and I'm like
Whatever.

Cuz this is molachs casual game of whatever.

Singing joke aside, I appreciate the work getting settings workable.
The majority vote looks fine now.
