[Spoilers] Dreylin's short visit to a late Era

t260 -

Apparently it took me all of 1turn to screw up your micro plan duhduhduhduhduhduh

This time wasn't a misclick, instead I was trying to type a sign and it jumped out and suddenly I had a turn into a Cottage on the Floodplain instead of a road. Doh I doubt it's enough to be worth asking for a reload, but I left the turn unended so we could discuss.

I took a look at the micro plan; there's no shot for t12, but on t13 there's a Worker 444 of Goats; can we send him 1N to finish that Farm, and divert one of those workers down to finish the Road? I have a feeling that's going to delay the Deer. frown

Actually, if we delay the Gold hookup by a turn, I think that the one Worker left on the Gold is the equivalent of the one 444 from Goats on t13, and can still get to one of the forests around Chickens. We just lose 1t of the Farm into that tile and have to catch it up later. (I don't see that Farm completed until t16, when there are 2Workers 6 from the tile, and presumably one of those can finish the Farm ... that tile doesn't show a completed Farm through the end, by which time the Workers have buggered off anyway. So I /think/ that's OK....). I also don't think that delaying the Gold a turn will bust the Happy Cap, so that should be OK.

Also, Donovan's Explorer showed up in the West ... along with barb borders:

Dont worry, it doesnt seem to be a bottleneck. The plan is flexible. Barbarian city is much more interesting thing, it is like 300 free hammers. Need to think about it.

Another turn, another micro hiccough. duh this time I must have pressed "r" or clicked once too often and ended up with 1t of Road instead of finishing the Sheep. I minimised the damage by shifting the tiles around, but I really hope the 1food doesn't come back to bite us.

Some interesting revolts next door ... plus I'd missed circumnav falling; I'd bet it is scooter or whomever traded with him - actually, it can't be him because it would have told us, so must be someone that he has traded with. TBH I'm surprised that it was on!

Dreylin, my friend, please pull yourself together! Next turn is very very important, I will not survive finishing theatre with GE.

lol Yeah, I deserved that, but glad that you can still joke about it.

Well thats minor mistakes. I more worry about scooter's nationhood, we need to monitor his power and be ready to take measures.

Right. We should be getting close to having NobleGas's graphs, once we do we'll set EP against scooter.

I assume our first expansion is to the SE to grab land & resources that way, or do we go NW for the Ivory? I guess there's no way to slot in a Galleon to get us intercontinental routes on the Southern island?

Galeon is possible. We have about 200 extra gold. I thought we could make some grens and capture barbarian city. The fastest way to deliver them is galeon.

If scooter rises power we will probably need privateer in the sea between us.

Gathering EPs is very slow way to collect information. It take about 10 turns to get graphs, graphs are shown with delay. It is not enough to make preparations. Scooter is aggressive and spiritual which is one of the best combination to rush. On his place I'd choose non-spiritual victim though. He also adopted Nationhood without actually drafting that turn, but I doubt he has chosen it for espionage or upkeep.

Mmm, one question about city captures - usually some of the buildings are burnt during the capture process; does that apply to the default buildings as well, or just additional buildings? i.e. could we end up with a city with fewer buildings than if we'd built it with a Settler?

One of our Explorers is on the way down to look at the Barb city, but I'll see if we've defogged an equivalent area already so we can get a comparison shot of what it's likely to look like.

I'm not even sure if his cities are big enough to be drafted yet! In his place I'd probably go for Donovan, but we don't know who his other neighbour is...

Visiting Family are out of town for a few days, so I should have more uninterrupted time with the next few turns. No mistakes! nono
