Sounds good to me, and all the other stuff about screenshots and tech trading. At the very least turning off tech brokering in the game options.
Im all for screenshots. When it comes to tech trading, its currently locked at... paper? Is it going to be really all that impactful if we DO enable it? IDC either way. Id almost rather Charriu mods Alphabet to be where tech is able to be traded if we are going to play a tech trading game. ( would make diplo more interesting anyway )

I'd vote to balance the starts around everybody settling in place on a plains hill tile.
^^^ THIS. Or, Cornflakes could always just start everyone with their city planted..

The metaphysics of Sid Meier's Civilization 4 is rooted in the ontology of cities, which can be summarized in one short maxim: "Press B to build city". You will not take that away from me.  nono

Would like to dedlurk someone, assuming that I don't end up running the civ after the main turnplayer flakes. And that someone can link me to how the mod works/connecting to pitboss works. Is that acceptable?
More people have been to Berlin than I have.

Very few dedlurkers stick around past early midgame, Hitru is the only exception I can think of right now.

So just to confirm with everyone: Tech trading ON, Tech brokering ON. Allow Screenshots to be sent.

Do we want to change tech trading back to Alphabet? Or keep it at Paper. ALSO, no city trading obviously but, id like Charriu/mod ect to allow us to see how many cities someone has without having to be OH levels of keeping track of everyone.... Thoughts?

I would say tech trading at Alphabet, no tech brokering, and I like the idea of only being able to trade a limited number of beakers/a limited number of techs in some way. What about map trading?

Refsteel is pretty awesome too.

A good dedlurker is worth their weight in gold, but you have to put in some effort to make sure they're up to date and can weigh in on the fun/important decisions. Clashing schedules or a lack of updates are a sure way to break up a team - I've never been able to support US players because they usually want to play while I'm asleep.

If techtrading is ON, it definitely should be at Alpha. We will need to rely on our experience to assign reasonable beaker quotas and we have no experience with techtrading starting at Paper. Also, moving it to Paper was a way to limit the power of it and we are already doing it via the quota system.
In respect to maptrading - ON, I think, just to have more resources to trade around, and move it back to Paper.
And yes, Tech Brokering OFF. The ability to resell techs will get everything out of control.
