SUPERDEATH IS MY NEIGHBOR AND HE IS BEING AGGRESSIVE
Ruff must be pissed as all hell at the RNG for putting you next to him yet again. Any pictures from scouting?

Not even being aggressive this time! Hell, Ruff isnt even probably my first "target" tbh! Id want to take out the inca first despite the land, due to Ruffs Totem poled AGG combo. Just so much more painful.. but i think we certainly need to get archery/hook up copper before pigs just to make sure he doesnt send a couple axes at our uh, warriors. I can get some pictures next turn.

I think either A: we need a new micro plan, or B: fly by the seat of our pants. Im fine with either option. But i think next turn im going to swap the worker to chopping, and whip the settler/worker ( whichever i can ) ASAP so we can get copper hooked up, and our hopefully soon to be holy city/multiple food resources/Ruff border city up and running. Oracle can still be grabbed i dont believe anyone else is going to be gunning for it on just 3 cities like we are.
I say copper instead of archery because ... RUFF got the Cover promotion for all of his melee units thanks to an event. Man, thats lucky of him. Now he has great defense, AGG promo, and good anti-archery units. YAY

Judging from his post in the tech thread, and being finicky about peace time double moves... im going to assume we have axes coming at us ASAP.. These "are" cover promo agg axes... BUT, archers should still be fine to help hold them off till we get our copper online. So, im sorry to say im free-balling the micro right now.
Tech path is Meditation-archery-priesthood-pottery. If someone beats us to the oracle, it will suck.. but im not liking the tone from Ruff lately. Better to be safe, than choked. Our land + the lower maintenance/civic upkeep from our traits should keep us afloat till we eat either Ruff or FT with praets.
IF our tech rate stays somewhat the same, we should have archery in time to put a safety hammer into an archer in the border city incase he just whips axes into us. Priority for our 3rd city IMO, is hooking copper up, then pigs. Kinda wish that was Commodore or better yet, Mr.Cairo instead of Ruff.
Sorry to shit all over the careful micro GKC i really did appreciate the effort!

Belatedly, on the double-move controversy: Yup; thanks for confirming!
(Since you mentioned PMing me as an option: Please don't rely on me for rules/admin/etc questions! I made the map, but am often away for days at a time (sometimes more than a week, with little or no warning!) so if you have something that needs neutral lurker resolution, it's best to post it here and just make a note in the tech thread that you'd like lurkers to have a look at something in your thread (which I think is what you've generally done in the past anyway). In any case though, you're definitely right that the tech thread posts gave too much information away. And if I'd been an actual game admin instead of just the mapmaker, I would have posted something to that effect. I suppose I probably should anyway.
I definitely understand the busy few days either way; I wasn't complaining about the momentary lack of reporting - just trying to mix in a compliment for your usually-thorough reports and reitterate that I was already sure you didn't actually do anything wrong in-game!
And I hope things are going okay now in spite of what sounds like another nasty aftershock from a really bad earlier living situation (per the Cup of Tea thread).

Yeah... having ruff basically tell everyone im near him, and then Rask being near Cornflakes... Some people's children....
Things are .... going. I suppose. My mother was able to throw a couple bucks my way to get my locks changed, and im hopeful that the police can get enough common sense evidence to convict/charge the Ex with stealing.. But its likely that ill just have to buy a new xbox anyway. Oh, and i dont know if i mentioned it in the Cup of Tea thread, but i did end up getting a car. Not anything that i wanted exactly... but something to help build credit and be reliable. 2018 Chevy Malibu. Has about as much horsepower as a moped... but i guess it works.

Settler completes with a hammer to spare, worker next which may? or may not be whipped so that it can go and chop/work on Minnesota's resources. Current worker will spend a turn or 2 roading 1W of its position and then start mining the copper the same turn that Wisconsin is founded. Followed by roading it as well so that we have access to axes/spears against ruff. All the while, so long as we dont need emergency archers vs ruff... the capital will begin the oracle as soon as it can.
Here's hoping we land Buddhism in Minnesota. It WILL spark the flames of Ruff's aggression... but to be fair, he already seems probably rightfully so... paranoid.

Coinflip at worst for Buddhism EOT. Workboat-Archer i think for Minnesota, Might have the next worker depending on when it can be whipped out... help get the copper/pigs city up and rolling. At least till we have adequate defense for Minnesota so that the workers aren't always on high alert.

That buddhism pop will be extremely helpful.
