Apparently Blizzard is playing freeze mage today.

Devil's Advocate: If Hearthstone will have basically 5-10 days this busy all year (when they launch new stuff) it may be rational to not build in server capacity for the 100% usage day when 97% of the time they might only need half that capacity.

Yeah, its annoying as a customer, but they've done the same thing with their other games. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense other than to just let people suffer through this.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Dammit, I really hate freeze. That has to be the least fun mechanic in the game. "Oh, I have a board fun of guys but you go ahead and ignore them and kill me with your 2 guys because you're playing frost nova & blizzard over and over."

It was the druids that drove me to play freeze mage because having a deck with 14 taunts is stupid.

Played a few games with Loatheb and my initial thoughts were wrong - he's OP. He's not just anti-burst or anti-miracle tech. He's a 5/5 that protects himself and everything else on your board. He's playable anytime you think your opponent will want to use a spell. Which is very very common. Playing him after a Gadgetzan-Conceal is the best. Even Zoo wants to soulfire a decent amount of the time. And every other deck runs tons of spells.
He goes in almost every deck too. He's a lot like Drake in that regard. You can easily swap 2xDrake to 1xDrake,1xLoatheb in most decks.

Yeah, this seems like what I was thinking about him. Basically as soon as you get an lead in the board you play Loatheb. Zoo could probably run him too - imagine what dropping him on turn 4 would do against a paladin, turn 5 against a priest, or turn 7 against a mage. That may just be enough to push through that last bit of damage.
I've enjoyed my limited Maexxna play in a priest deck, just because that card helps control the board when it comes out. (Gotta watch out for Kodos though.) I might have to try Loatheb in there too now.

Maexxna is garbage, don't play her! Play Ogre instead!
Things Maexxna can kill that Ogre can't: Giants/Alexstraza/Cenarius
Things Ogre can kill that Maexxna can't: Your opponent!
Maexxna also gets wrecked by silence and Kodos. Sylvanas and/or Cairne are better at the 6 slot than either. Loatheb is fine but doesn't fit the same role.

Also can't be stolen by other priests.

Yeah, I think Maexxna is basically just a touch above Millhouse/Tinkmaster tier of legendaries. Surely no correlation with being the first totally free legendary of live (Gelbin/ETC apparently were free @Blizzcon in beta but since I hadn't even heard of the game then, I don't know the specifics.)
