OCTOPUS certainly, and my read on the clue being Sushi is that we're supposed to disregard COOK, which leaves CARROT.

So we can't win this turn, so something is off track. Although we can know this - Azoth knows the red words too, so he thinks red can't clear their 3 in one turn so we'll have another.

OCTOPUS is likely here, but I don't know what the second Sushi word is. I guess CARROT is the only other thing that fits, it's used in sushi occasionally? Not COOK, you'd clue that pair as Calamari.

And for our catchups, we're being told that not both Opera + Angel are correct for Trumpet. What is the third Trumpet word after Band + (Opera or Angel)? I guess TAP, you tap the valves of a trumpet to play it? And that might be the reason the clue was Trumpet rather than some other music-related clue or instrument, so it doesn't have to be pointing to Angel.

It looks like the reds only need two more words to win. We can`t do much about it, though. Should we just pass and make ANGEL or OPERA our preference then?

Right, I miscounted, red needs two more not three.

I think we should go for something, just to help avoid a disaster if we do get one more turn and still have some confusion. I think TAP is the third Trumpet word, and that takes care of the instrument meaning, so it might not be Angel. I favor guessing Opera now, since I think that's the best no-worse-than-gray option.
