[PB82 Tech Thread] 3-city elimination

Does anyone know why it's always saying "the following players did not finished their turn: scooter (id=3)" whenever Scooter rolls?

I assumed it was due to turns being too short for PBSpy to register some events, since everything looked good in-game
I think Yuri’s is right. PBSpy is slow to update now. I noticed that timestamps for my log in and turn end do not match, sometimes by several minutes, sometimes not updating until after I’ve logged out.
Yeah, doesn't seem to be leading to issues, just a curious thing.

Although right now I'm unable to connect...

Some logins and logouts don't seem to register either? I did ask Zulan about this, and he didn't seem to know either. There's been weird gremlins with pbspy recently. I guess we just hope it doesn't get worse? This has been quietly itching my brain because I see specific patterns. For example, PBSpy for this game gets most logins and logouts, but I noticed it almost always misses Commodore's. His turns are just abrupt "ended turn" nearly every time. I say nearly, because yesterday morning he had a turn register just fine. Commodore, did you do anything differently for that turn? Play it on a different machine or something? As far as I remember, that's the only time all game PBSpy has shown him logging in or out. It functionally does not really matter. It's just prodded my inner software engineer brain trying to imagine why a bug like this would happen as it's clearly not random. |
