Wow, talk about a gazillion posts at once. Not that that's a bad thing though. 
So, let's so what I have to respond with:
I've decided to turn the maybe into a yes.
TBH, I would actually prefer to play with Events off (Huts I don't care much about). If no-one else wants to move though then I'll be fine playing on with them.
I'd prefer passive spying and NTT. Don't really want to play with Tech trading or Active spying.
I'd also prefer to choose my leader, although I don't mind if it's restricted/not resticted.
My timezone is GMT+8 and can play in the evenings.

Wow, uh... I'm not sure what the status of everything is, but I'm interested in playing. All I care about is no tech trading and no spy units, so I think I'm compatible with everyone else.

Haven't read through the whole thing, but from my skim through I think you might be full already?
What about the possibility of starting an extra game if we have enough people interested? I'd love to play in one of the awesome RB games I have read so many reports about
EDIT: Seems this idea was already suggested, so I'd love to play in a 3rd pool!

There appears to be a 3rd game being set up, although I don't really know what's happening there.
I wouldn't mind adding a 6th person to our PBEM though, and I also would prefer it if I didn't play with events. If one of you doesn't mind playing with events, perhaps you can take over my slot in Pool A and I'll jump to Pool B or the 3rd game (assuming everyone else is OK with that).

Scooter mentioned he'd switch if you didn't want to be part of Pool A though I also think he'd prefer to be in Pool B so if somebody from the 3rd pool currently being set up would like to be in Pool A (NTT, Huts On, Events On) then post here asap (or anybody else for that matter!).

I'd slightly prefer events and huts to be on, so I'm happy to jump into A if that makes sense for other people.
Edit: Assuming spy units are banned. It looks like it to me but it's all a bit muddy.

After some serious thought, please consider this me retracting my interest for the game. Whilst i definitely have the time for it currently, eventually, with my civs becoming bigger, i would likely struggle to maintain 4 games at once.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
I'd be willing to help out a total newbie, if they wanted, as a not amazingly active dedicated lurker. More of a soundpost to run ideas off etc.

Assuming Pool B is happy with me jumping in as a 6th player, then SevenSpirits can take over for me and we'd be set. There would be a different number of players in each map though, so either we can get a 12th from somewhere or just start 2 completely different games.
For the 3rd game, with Kyan leaving and Cjreynol joining you are still on 4. Not sure what you want to do, but I'll leave it to you guys. (there might still be some people who are interested in a game, there hasn't even been 24 hours since the first post  )

As long as the settings are NTT, no events and passive espionage, then that's fine by me. It looks like that is going to be the case anyway.
