Nope, everyone can take that. Plus I doubt I'll be able to get Drill 4 and Blitz before upgrading anyway.

Sadly, it doesn't. Would be nice if it did though.
Selrahc Wrote:I think it's Flanking 1. That stacks with Defensive, so it could be worthwhile.
It's not this either. I'm not a fan of withdrawing unless you get really high percentages and only mounted units get up to Flanking 3.
Selrahc Wrote:Literally the only other thing I can think of is Woodsman, which I guess could be good for fighting elves.
Also incorrect. Treetop Defense + Defensive works better and doesn't require a promotion.
I'll admit the last choice is probably not going to happen in this game at all (by that, I'll need to get Mobility 2 and then this promotion, too much starting exp required), and is only going to be a factor if I ever upgrade it into a Paladin. But I've already said that there are 3 promotions I'm interested in, so despite some promotions making little sense they may be correct. (and besides, there are only 2 promotions left)

Decision time:
Now that my other two cities are at their happy caps, that gold is incredibly tempting. Even though I won't be able to get the border pop for a while, it's still a happy resource that I need. I might even consider the blue circle 1N (difference between 1N and 1NW is that 1N is better short term and 1NW is better long term).
Screw it, I'm settling 1NW next turn.

Woodsman does give 30% attack into forests as well.

That's interesting, I did not know that. Still, it's only useful warring against the elves and I don't know how long that will be.

Inishbofin settled on the sheep.
I'm at a bit of a loss for what to build next in my capital after my 4th worker. I suppose more warriors and settlers is always good, but since I'm at the happy cap maybe I could try and get a Priest from a Pagan Temple? Or festivals next would give me markets but that would delay mining giving my workers nothing to do.
No I need Mining, and it's probably too early to start building the altar, although the earlier it gets started the better. More expansion then I guess.

I think it's better for elves than against them. It means that despite all the forests they spread around their bases, an invader won't be getting much terrain benefit on defence.
Anyway.. another guess. Scourge?

Yep, that's it.
Seeing as it's the only counter unit promotion available, I thought it might be useful against anyone who uses Disciple units (Anyone who's Spiritual like Sciz). However, the only disciple units that we'll likely see in this game (aside from monks) are either priests or religious heroes (warrior disciple units like the crusader and paramander suck) and against them aren't worth putting on priests. It'll probably just be Mobility 2 for Devouts and then upgrade (with one hopefully getting Aeron's chosen).

Code of Laws is finally done. Next turn we see the power of early Aristocracy. (not to mention my farms will stop giving me too much food)
Tech path is: Mining -> Festivals. After that it could be any of BW, Writing, Hunting, maybe even Cartography.

Irgy let me know that he plans to settle the his border cities near me as his next 2 cities. One of them claims Letum Frigus but he's offered to share the ice mana, fine by me. I do need to scout around a bit more though.
He's also built his first Pyre Zombie while I don't have Mining. Fair enough since I went for CoL first. Good thing I still have Sanctuary.

My workers are out of things to useful things to do. Once Mining comes in they'll be back at work.
Current Demographics:
I current get 68 beakers per turn (or something like that).
Oh and I also found Irgy with my scout. He'll say hi.
