Here's the pop chart so far:
Headlines:
[Strike]-Pegasus was LAST to settle his 2nd city
-Cull settled cities on t27 and t28! Three cities![/strike]
-Catwalk built his city and immediately founded Buddhism. Excellent play.
Edit: the first 2 points are incorrect, I was working too fast during the blitz.
Biohazard continues to grow. Cow, Horse and Clam improved, now working on the gold:
Got Catwalk's graphs, but analysis will have to wait until after the blitz:

3rd city coming soon, then we stop for a while. Here's the micro plan:

The plan is moving along, teching pottery and prepping city 3.
-Catwalk learned hunting
-Everyone's 2nd city is size 2 this turn, except Cull, he's stuck at 3 and 1.
-Catwalk is rival pop: he is working 7 tiles!
-Pegasus learned a powerless tech. Pottery?

I knew border tensions would come early, but this is a bad omen: Catwalk's 2nd city was in perfectly normal 2nd ring position, but became a Holy City immediately.
Fur Fighter borders:
t27 - found
t27 - expand
t36 - expand
...and just like that, it greatly weakened my planned NE city, which i hoped would grab the 6/2/1 deer tile. Now he's talked about building Stonehenge, and the Holy city seems like a reasonable location... that would make it look like this:
t27 found
t27 2nd ring
t35 Stonehenge (total 13 cpt)
t36 3rd ring
t50 4th ring
:Yikes:
The NE city would be unlivable. That led to this diplo wth Catwalk:
Quote:Catwalk,
Getting Buddha in your copper city of t0 of its existence was probably the play of the game so far.* Your borders expanded immediately, and in fact I can already see the purple from my horse city!**
I'm happy to keep our bargain to give you stonehenge, but I have a small request: please don't build it in the Holy city.*
Reasons:
-You have no fear of losing a culture battle there, like, ever.
-I hav no plans to place a city overlapping your BFC anyway.
-If you combined the Holy city with stonehenge, your culture would make even 1st ring cities impossible for me in my NE.
Obviously this wouldn't destroy the Ottobots either way, but it would surely destroy the goodwill we have built up so far.
Sincerely,
Ceil

And sent an answer this morning:
Greetings Ceiliazul
Last info I could find about our NAP had it expiring at turn 40. Since for some strange reason we don't have a great army of cat warriors yet, we would be greatly pleased to extend our NAP with you. I assume you would like clarification as well, so we don't waste resources building up military near our borders. I can confirm that I will not be building Stonehenge in Fur Fighters, if I do decide to build it I will do so in my newly planted Catnip Factory up by the horses. How does NAP until turn 75 sound to you? Hope all is well in your empire and that things are going according to plan.
Best regards,
Catwalk
So NE city may still happen, but still it will always fight for it's deer tile, if not it's life.

Well, we've had one full turn in 5 days... at least now it's Catwalk, who was nice enough to post saying he would be out.
In the downtime, careful inspection showed Culls borders to our SE. This is consistent with him settling his desert hill 2N of my Ziggo site. He'll pay more in maintenance, and miss out on copper, but he does get the FP in play.
Also Catwalk's Holy culture as previously discussed:
And in the demos, Peg whipped again. He discovered pottery on t30, so this is likely a granary in his capital.
Oh, and finally... see anything new on the first scoreboard? Catwalk revolted to Buddha! He only just got the wheel, so trade routes are impossible... which means no free spread. His Holy city doesn't need the happy, so he'll get no immediate benefit. I would have waited.

Next turn Gold comes online with a slick 7gpt. My entire empire did 14 beakers last turn, so that tile will be a 50% boost!
In 3 turns Biohazard will hit full stride at size 4, and is timed to produce a chariot on the same turn... which will go say hi to Cull.
Ziggo will borrow the pigs to grow to size 3 in a total of 5 turns...
0 0/14 + 5 (pig)
1 5/14 + 5 (corn)
2 10/14 +5 (corn)
3 1/16 +8 Size 2 (pig and corn)
4 9/16 +8 (pig and corn)
5 1/17 Size 3
...and will find a FP cottage ready to start growing. At current pace those 5 turns will take us until Thanksgiving, but I'm not gonna let it get me down!

In the midst of today's lack of turns, i looked over the demos and saw Cull still doesnt have bronze working. Neither does AdHoc for that matter.
Speaking of Cull, he's rapidly gaining points on the "who to kill first" rankings. Seriously, is there a statistical correlation between the first kill and the player who holds the turn longest in the early game?
Hes gone over 24hrs on the save at least 4 times, and routinely holds it for 15 hours...
Edit: pending further analysis, I might be way off... Cull might have BW. AdHoc definitely does not.

No, but there should be. Talk to Catwalk about rushing?
