I don't understand you people I said I know I'm wrong and I'm not trying to justify it, I'm trying to figure out why people have been so extremely bent out of shape. Seriously, I KNOW I SCREWED UP ON THE RULE so stop wallowing in your own expectation and going oh 'he's trying to justify it.' Because I am not trying to justify it so you should stop contextualizing it like that or we both give the appearance of being self righteous ass hats about the situation to each other. So again. I'm not trying to justify it, I know I'm wrong. That's not the point of the discussion I'm trying to have. The point is for me to figure out what sort of game I'm expected to play since clearly I missed a memo about this being some kind of serious CTON with pointless banter. I thought this was a light hearted fun game with perfect intelligence on diplomacy so people don't get pissy about being picked on. So I'll ask this more clearly: am I supposed to play a CTON with pointless diplo banter with the same legalistic king of the assholes rule lawyering as the other PBs because it would be nice if I go into the rest on the same page.

I think that its supposed to be, and generally is, a fun game. One of the reasons its fun is that players are trusting each other to follow the fairly simple rule set. The diplomacy rule is in place to limit the what you can do as much as keeping things open. Chats are real time, diplo thread posts aren't. You can gain a substantial advantage from that.

Mostly time saving but fair enough.

WFIW, its actually quite useful to have LP continually going last. It makes double moves quite easy to do for me. In other news, TT wants the game to end and has abandoned his city to attack me with his warriors. So I'll just wait until he plays and walk an archer into it so he can't double team any archers on flat land.

The Fall of TT
Well I guess not, he pulled his warriors back and has a spear in that city. As long as he's not completely retarded, he should do SOMETHING to LP's chariots. ![]() As for when LP takes it, hopefully I can pick off a wounded chariot or 2. Its kinda silly how pathetic TT's luck is. Here's my capitol I wasn't micromanaging correctly so my barracks turn into a 1 turn whip so its unhappy. I decided to put it on a worker and 2 pop it next turn (screenshot inaccurate). I also have both my workers ready to pasture (3 turns including roads). I guess after the pasturing of the horses, I should be ready for some charioting and warring action! ![]() I guess the long term plans are to war with Parkin over Ex-TTLand. The only reason I negotiated with LP was to maybe make him think that I wanted to be left alone see what he wanted out of the war etc. Its abit silly if you actually look at it he gets everything. ![]() Go Go double gold! Also Elkat settled their good spot: ![]() EDIT: Forgot to post the RISOTD: How high can a bumble bee go? http://www.independent.co.uk/news/scienc...37834.html

Poor TT. But I guess its really my fault that I pulled all his units at me when LP was invading.

Stop trying so hard
![]() I just don't have any ability to crack cities right now and its not that bad if LP can't be bothered either Than its 4 cities vs 4 cities. I think that if TT doesn't give up and delete all his units or something, I'm just going to settle LP's copper in violation of the nonbinding treaty or something. Gotta get copper somehow.

Writing came in. Maybe that means better reports, probably not.
I've been playing with the gold. It can shave 5 turns off HBR to 13 turns. Not fast enough for a quick strike, plus I want to try and grow that double gold city pretty quickly so it won't be worked all the time. Hmmm. I will really need to figure out the micro for optimal growth (and farm a FP likely). Challenging micro for a noob like me. I think my basic plan is to avoid slaving it and just grow as fast as possible. I think I'll just do a campaign of aggressive settling pillaging against LP which is actually pretty much what I was planning against TT. I just have no ability to crack cities without metal or tech and I have to do something RIGHT NOW. For my front city/copper city(named Covert Action - a fun spy game by SM), I will actually probably settle diagonal 1 SW from the copper. Its safer due to the slightly longer distance from former TT capitol, better culture vision and only a culture fight with a single city diagonally. No ETA on the settler but it will be done between 9 and 14 turns from now along with chariot escort and the giant wall of archers I have. In other news, I have a spot picked out north of the Catwalk Treaty Line. It gets bananas, dyes, an oasis, and a bunch of river tiles. Its main food will be the rice. This means I should swap to seafood at my capitol with work boats sooner or later as its food supplies will be given to Colonization and the Unamed (Fantastic Worlds - Civ card game expansion?) other city. PS. Is anyone else amused that this seems to be like a repeat of PB4? 2nd time LP has gotten huge land and I've gotten 2 gold...
