Three near Krakatoa and one near Aral Sea. We could also just stuff all our Archers in Krakatoa and wait for the end, but that leaves us defenceless to pillaging.

I'm glad I built this Mine. I wonder if Tankra would have went for Nicolae if we hadn't attacked him earlier. We'll see in the aftergame.

In foreign news: we got graphs on SAT last turn.
Score:

Well, SAT is clearly doing much better than we are. We'd probably be doing well if we weren't struggling to conscript enough men to fight Tankra. They're also running a small military. I'm think that one large jump is just Bronze Working, and the smaller jumps are Hunting and some population growths. Why is everyone running a farmer's gambit? SAT is going to be relying on Holkans for defence, so crush them with Axes already!

In minor news, Nicolae decided on a naming scheme: molecules related to the immune system. He's renamed his capital 'MHC Class II' and his second city 'CD4'.

I moved the Archer on the forest into Krakatoa, since Tankra is moving west. If he moves onto the plain hill, he's going for the wheat. If he moves onto flatlands, we attack. And if we fail...

well, you might consider letting tankra see sat's graphs. high food, mfg, and low power means he is going to be a juicier target than us. in any case, its going to be hard for tankra to take a city, so all we can do now is hop ehe grows tired of pillaging quickly.

Only thing is: I don't want everybody in the world to see my graphs. Still, posting a small 'SAT is running a farmer's gambit' might be a good idea. If we can convince people to go to war, fine by us.

I don't think Tankra will want to send his Dogs halfway around the world. You generally go to war with your neighbors. SAT is ahead, but I'm don't think their lead is large enough to warrant a dogpile.

Tankra's going for the Wheat resource:

I noticed the previous anger penalties from the whip had almost worn off, so I whipped another Axe in Krakatoa. If Tankra moves onto the Wheat, I attack with two Archers and two Axes, thanks to the road on the Ivory. If Tankra attacks into the forest hill, he takes horrendous casualties. If he moves onto the flatland and approaches Krakatoa, again, I attack. If he retreats, we've won.

Tankra's Warrior finally reappeared.

I'd attack, but the Warrior being on a hill across a river makes the battle 58% odds, too low to be risking Aral Sea for. I'll wait for him to cross the river.

We've explored SAT's lands, but we can't see their cities.

I'm pretty sure this means SAT didn't settle any of the copper sources. Is it time to tell whoever is their western neighbor to attack them with Axes? I think it might.

Also: Tankra is somehow higher in score than us, despite only having one Size 2 city. Everyone else still has two cities.

so he has 3 dogwarriors coming towards the north? (I see one on the forest PH, one north of the forest deers, and one with his feet peeking out NE of that) and one warrior coming south way?
not to scary so far, looks like he may have trouble with production w/ only one city.

Tankra is invading with 3 Dog soldiers and 2 Warriors. 2 Dog Soldiers are on the forest hill along with a Warrior, and 1 Dog Soldier is 1N of the Archer. And, of course, there's the Warrior in the south. The feet peeking out from the north is Sian's scouting Warrior. (I think.)

Anyway, is it time to tell Sian to invade SAT, or at least let SAT know someone's calling them on their farmer's gambit? I'll try to figure out where exactly SAT's cities are later.

If I remember correctly, we're tops in soldiers again. I'll check that next turn.

are we allowed to do private diplomacy in this game, or the diplo thread only? I somehow missed that rule.

I don't particularly like that all the new RB games have turned into public diplomacy threads only. I don't mind it, but I little variety would be nice frown.

^^ from a lurkers perspective, I guess, since this is the only game I'm not globally lurking.
