I stand corrected. My scouts never make it past one promotion on Deity. frown

Let's scout with Ghandi. We need more map info.

Good call.

I decided not to promote Gandhi since Gavagai shouldn't have good odds and has been playing safe so far. Looks like we need to go around though. We could go 1S next turn and then head west through the forests until we reach his capitol but he can block us from doing so since we would need to keep the playing order (us then him). Assuming he doesn't declare war, imo, sending Gandhi 1 SE next turn might be somewhat useful. Probably head 1 NE though.

Not sure why he doesn't have a road to the city yet. Anyway, we can deduce where his capitol is from the culture map...

Since we need to clear out the lion anyway, I moved the warrior w/ 1 XP into the forest to hopefully gain a promotion (assuming the lion suicides). We'll have our third city settled T45...

What is we move Ghandi SW onto the hill while declaring war?
Otherwise, SE is a solid option. We still need more map info.

Took a look ingame.
Stonehenge has been build, good news for us!

I think we should move Ghandi north and circle around Gavagai to see if we can pass on his west side.
Let's change the build in Morai to a worker at size 2 and whip it to completion when possible. That will give us a third worker (second will come from Redemption after the settler).

We need to get more commerce up and running. Fishing after Pottery to work those lakes?

Sounds good to me.

Ok. We'll want a fourth worker too but we can chop that out @ Redemption.

We'll have to see. I think we can get cottages going and the gold hooked up for commerce. We can't really afford for Redemption to work lakes since that is our settler pump (for now). We'll be able to build 6t settlers working production tiles or 8t settlers working 2 lakes. The next few settlers (desert hill/horse/Mid city) need to get out quick so a 2t delay is huge. I think we need to tech Masonry first (we'll want walls in desert hill) then Writing after Pottery. We really won't need Fishing until we settle seafood resources.

Gavagai played it safe as expected. Good defense to his credit. Ofc, we're trying to get around him so that does delay us somewhat.

The demos after 2 pop whipping the settler...

I can live with that. We'll be fine once we get the gold hooked up and cottages started. We need to settle desert hill within ~15 turns. No way do I want to give up all those nice flood plains.

Looks good!
Do we let Redemption grow back on a warrior 1 size or do we put all the overflow into the worker and build it manually before growing back?

Lets move Ghandi NE before circling around.

All the overflow needs to go into the worker so it will complete in 3t. Redemption can grow a size before we start the following worker. Gandhi NE, sure.
