Haha, its from this insanely dumb & nonsensical "horror" manga (meaning read the panels right to left) called "Fourteen" from the 1960s (I think? Maybe 1950s?) that starts off in a sort of egg factory... long story short, a genetic researcher in the factory accidentally creates a chicken/human hybrid, who comes to name himself "Chicken George" and takes it upon himself to take revenge against humans for all other animals on the earth. Been reading it lately after a friend posted about it a bit, and now I can't stop giggling about it...

That said, I'm going to finish researching Currency and building The Hanging Gardens before I even start thinking about war...

I had time to play my turns today since I'm in a different time zone for my brother's wedding, but I won't have time to post my next micro plan. I did finish it, but I want to type a bit about each city too, heh.
In other news, another brazen plant from TBS this turn. I mean, its certainly way better than the last one, but its still, like, what are you doin' puttin' all these cities in front of me man...
Currency won't be in until T89 instead of T88 I think, because I didn't realize my last few units took me over the free unit count and started costing me $$ per turn. Owned by binary science. I'm considering just running at 0% until the Academy is done to accelerate whatever I decide to go for after that.... I don't know.

Ok, next 10 turn plan. Goals this time are: The Hanging Gardens (still debating whether I finish it T91 or T92 (T92 sees a few cities grow on that turn PLUS requires less turns sunk in without stone, while T91 is of course safer), 2 new cities, 3 more workers, bolstered defense.
Cities, left to right:
Hastee Tastee - Whipping out some more military, will work Wealth once Currency is in.
Backwater Moonshine, Chilly Seaworld - expanding borders, then grabbing a granary. Not worth minutely planning out here Will happen very slowly in Chilly seaworld because I need to work the furs to get Currency on time.
Cedar Point - Nailing out a Settler and some military. Giving back the corn once some farms finally come in.
Carnival - Grabbing the Hanging Gardens once stone is hooked up, via 1 full chop, 3 3rd ring chops, and a full worker overflow. I wish I could have done a full 100 hammer overflow with a Settler, but I don't really have time for that. Besides, its good to have this city grow, too.
Peewee's Playhouse
Zoo - Site of our future capital, right now just working cottages and trying to grow swole.
Clambake - Desperately trying to maintain control of a thin strip of the channel and pumping outmilitary.
Stony Point - Future Moai, but for now just pumping out infrastructure.

Oh for fucks sake. I finished my turns, everythings going great, yada yada, and then, while review tile allotments, I get a big lag spike, probably someone trying to connect but being unable to because of this shitty hotel internet. THEN, when I finally get control back, I see the warrior garrisoned in Zoo tried to move halfway across the fucking map. This adds 2 unhappiness in Zoo for 2 turns (since I can't get the warrior back in time), meaning that my Academy and Currency are both delayed by 2 turns. FUCK
In other news, I met plako. Hi plako. He turns out to be neighbors with Xenu, who seems to be neighbors with Oxy.

So your warrior move is getting reloaded right? I havent waded into the tech thread, did you ask for a reload or are you just realy happy someone else did?

I did ask for a reload and I'm thrilled about it... its not really as minor as Parkin made it sound, I'd have lost something like 150 beakers over the next dozen turns because of it. (delayed currency, delayed academy, delayed wealth builds, delayed market, whatever I lose from the 2 citizens, etc)
Guess I'll just bring a keyboard with me next time I travel. Maybe there's some XML bindings somewhere that will let me rebind pause to something more accessible...

I'm unfortunately unable to play this turn; essentially, what I need is marked a few posts up in the spoiler tags.
1.) Max research worked; I need to hit Currency ASAP and I think I have just enough to do it
2.) Production switched to a settler in Cedar Point, Barracks in Peewee's Playhouse (max food for growth), Axeman in Carnival
3.) Zoo should grab the pig to grow next turn
4.) Stony point is whipped, and works the fish
5.) galley moves towards the stone
6.) worker near moonshine roads to the point marked; no trees should complete chops, everything is a prechop. workers near cedar point should farm, workers near chilly seaworld should mine+road.
Thank you!
