Yes you could.

Yes but the most important buildings are granary and forge, so if any of those survives the result can be considered good. Anyway, sometimes you just need a cheap settler more than a pre-developed city.

GE on schedule:
Looked at the micro and the 1f lost from the Pasture delayed growth at Llamas by a turn; since we need to get that up to Size11 for the GPP to work, I juggled to Workers to finish the Farm 122 to replace the food:
Chops will be delayed at Goats as well as the Gold, but I figured that wasn't quite as critical.
Also, based on our discussion of the Barb city, I started a Grenadier in Goats rather than the Rifle from the micro plan. Speaking of the Barb city, here's the comparison:
It could be quite close to our neighbour's borders, so we'll have to think carefully about keeping ... especially if it's pindicator! Also, based on scooter's having Incense, which is his Cap-duplicate resource, I'm going to guess it has Gems. Explorer is just about to pass West of the Fish lake and come down here.
I rolled the turn, but didn't play the next since it's late and we can discuss. Scooter logged in immediately and drafted once (I think) we'll have to start keeping an eye....

Also, I just spotted this:

T14: chopped 1 forest near Goats, start chopping 2 others, wealth in production, still just 1 scientist, 4 workers to the forests around Chickens
T15: put 2nd scientist in Goats, put artist in Chickens, start chopping forests, adopt slavery (but not slaving yet),
I ran 2 Scientists last turn, should that have been just one?

Yeap, just 1. The main idea is to make it 1 turn later than the GE2 in Lhamas.

OK, I'll adjust tonight accordingly.

Also, do we want to adjust the build/buy plan in light of the Barb city? Instead of chop/whipping 2 Settlers, we could just do one and put Goats' forests into units? That would also give us a buffer against Scooter. I had a feeling we were running unit-light on the original plan...?

I have exactly same thoughts. The original plan shows things in general, but we are not to do literally everything exactly according to it. I still built a few units which might be not enough for the real game.
But I do not exactly know what to build and when. In my tests I was switching to the units after library/theatre but replaces them with wealth to accumulate chops (I do not put settlers for long production because it stops growth).
I am totally for making more units instead of settlers, but I worried that you wont accept plan without settlerspamming. But my heart demands to make Kremlin as fast as possible, because with it we will chase up in either of expansion or military quick.

Right, I agree that Kremlin fast is the priority; plus we're going to be rushing most/all of the Settlers, so it would make some sense to wait to do so until after it has completed before spamming them out. Also, with the <ahem> "delay" in the worker improvements around Goats, we might be better skipping some/all of the chops there and put down a few extra Farms to concentrate on growing to facilitate whipping, etc..
Maybe:
Chickens: Theatre, Galleon (rush), Settler - chops, then rush
Goats: Barracks, Units (some chops or whips if appropriate)
Llamas: Barracks, Units
Settler can either go to the Island if it looks good, or wherever we decide otherwise. And we have the Galleon to speed up the attack on the Barb City.
