[Spoilers] Pindicator accepts his fate

Well, if any of you lurkers have a desire to play the awesome combination Mehmed II of Carthage, there is a nonzero chance of an opening in the near future...

I've been entertaining the idea of subbing in were an opening to occur. I have to admit I'm a little tempted, but:

1. I'm spoiled on your thread.
2. Have never even played the RB mod, besides reading threads (most recently Comm's PB 13 Thread).

Most importantly though, my gaming PC is currently without internet access until my new motherboard arrives. If the opening remains whenever that comp is up and running, I may be down for taking over.

In the meantime though, I think you should go ahead and post.

Game health > individual player's feelings in this case. It's not like he/she hasn't been given a fair shake. This game won't last if current conditions persist.

I really, really don't want to suggest we forcably replace someone ... but what are the options here? There's been zero communication and something like 4 missed turns from Borsche; we're paused waiting for him for like the 3rd time so far and it's only turn 14.

I'm just waiting to post the above in the tech thread because I'm really hoping someone else will do it first... or that Borsche will appear. It's just not a line I'm happy to cross.

Borsche has been really patchy in 27 lately too, playing double turns every 5-6 days. I think something is up because he was quite consistent.

Honestly, what is anyone really spoiled on at this point? A little bit of map info and intricate knowledge of my plan to win the game?

Let's say worst case scenario, you end up being my neighbor to the south. I'll take that in order to keep the game moving, even if it hurts my chances.

Well, Borsche played his turn and the next with zero words said to anybody. The silence is the most concerning part...

That spot where the scout is standing is going to be a lush food location, if we go there.
Also - anyone else think the symmetry in lakes mean that both directions lead to neighbors?

Probably.

I'm beginning to think the map is a donut with spokes though. That arm of land extending eastward may lead to all the tiles Commodore has regaled us with tales of.

Not this turn. There are forests northeast of the ivory and the tile above that, but it looks kind like a narrow isthmus / peninsula to the east.

StarDoor and OT4E both grabbed their 4th techs; timing is right for Mining for both.



Looks like the land is about to open up to the east. It appears that the coastline extends to the coast we saw north of our capital, so there may not be early islands to settle after all.

Trying to decide how far east I want to go before I swing back around and check out what's to the south...
