I'd also like to point out, that by looking at post counts we have a lurker. I'd like Qg to explain why he only has half as many posts as our next lowest poster. He might be trying to slink his way to a scum win....

Because my bad jokes are being taken seriously this round, please note the comment about Qg is indeed a joke.

Also that is not meant to imply in any way that Qg is scum, as I get that he's the moderator.

On my more scummy side I have Dp101. Taken individually his posts don't seem too bad, just a bit bull in a china shopish if you will. Taken collectively however, it seems like he is putting a bunch of threads out there and seeing if anyone trips on them. Once they are noticed however, he's pulling them back, and that seems bad to me.

I think that Dp's posts scream town, taken individually. I haven't really considered the bigger picture - can you elaborate on what you mean?

You've played with Dp before, right? The way he (over)explains his thought processes is pure town Dp. I think it should be easily recognizable. And people theorizing that he's scum (you and Adrien) are using circumstancial evidence but are not considering his tone. I don't see an honest attempt to determine his alignment.

Individually I can take them as mistakes, a fervent townie leaping at all possible scum tells. Taken as a whole whoever, the repetitive nature of his posts making the same kind of mistake and being corrected by others, smells different. I'm not sure he is scum, but he seems scummier than anyone else on my list.

X-post with the above. I agree with on you the individual level. As I said, the trends seem negative. Also, it's day one, we don't have a lot to work with, so you do the best you can with what you've got.

Resolution comes at midnight for me. Tonight I'm up at 3am for some ungodly reason, but making deadline will be challenging. My final posts will likely come 1h prior to, though I will try my best to stay awake till its over. My vote for scum is Winston. He was town on my TotalWar game but he acted scummy as all frak. I'm pretty sure it was just practice for here. I'm going to bed now, and hopefully the wife won't notice how late it is. See you all in the am.

If anyone cares, I was just scum in a different offsite game that ended about a week ago, and my play was identical to what it was here despite my best efforts, so rest assured I have not improved my scum game at all.

I think I am considering his tone, but I feel you are giving him too much credit. To date I have seen him as both scum and town, and IIRC the scum game I was mod, and you know how much harder it is to truly evaluate someone's scum/town status when you already know it to be the case. In the last game I played with him off site, I found his town game to be better than this. To be fair however, at the end of d1 he was basically locked town as he was the sole pusher for lynching a guy that turned out to be scum. That of course colored my perceptions. As things stand however, I think it's off. If I had a better case, I'd be running it. If someone's got a better case, I'm open to it, but as things stand, he's the scummiest I see.

Very interesting! Well, you and I so often have our own mind-melds Lewwyn, that to read this from you puts you right up behind Adrien in my scum list. Possibly running in with the Hail Mary to save your scum buddy, or hoping to setup a focus onto me Day 2, if he is innocent.

I just can't believe that town Lewwyn comes in, reads the opposite to me and Novice on Adrien, doesn't even bother to look at the other players, then buzzes out for deadline.

Yes, I read the opposite of you on Adrien. I focused on DP, Adrien and You in my limited time. Earlier in the day I commented on novice and Jabbz. Buzzed out for the deadline? Last I checked midnight my time wasn't the deadline. And I seem to be here safe and sound at least 5 hours before the deadline? Smear much?

Particularly the idea that Adrien is answering questions (like the TZ answer) in order to generate content. That seems like a pretty weak tell to me.

Answering someone else's questions IS a weak tell, and is not my main problem with Adrien. But it IS a tell, I've seen it over and over. Wolves need to post, posting is hard when you're a wolf, so picking up any slack in the chat by answering questions like that is a godsend for them.

This is tosh. Adrien isn't saying he wants to see more of me, nor did he ask me questions. He set himself up to move onto me today, without giving a reason until directly called out on it. How is 'considering moving to Gazglum' asking to see more from me?

Seriously though we weren't even 24 hours into the day at that point when he said that. How is that setting you up for a lynch. You know that Day ones are terribly swingy. The fact that you latch onto this as "setting you up" is ridiculous.

And as for voting me Lewwyn, what is your case? Your vote is lazy. I suspect you might remember, Lewwyn, that I have never been mislynched on Day 1 as town, and I defend like a rabid badger.

How is my vote lazy? Was that my final vote? Did I ever say it was my final vote? Why did I vote for you? You have never been mislynched day 1! You defend like a badger! Why would I take that on as scum?

I look in at the end of my day I see the train on Adrien. I think, "hmmm, I disgree that Adrien is the scummiest. Right now I think Jabbz is scummiest. What's going on here?" I see a weak attack on him by Gazglum. I point it out as weak, I feel town Gaz would be a bit more insightful. I make said posts. I poke the bear (oh badger, excuse me). I vote for Gazglum.

When the day is still going I vote to put pressure on people and see how they react. My vote on you wasn't permanent (before, TBD now).

If you think I'm the wolf, you should at least have made a few comments to the rest of the town to try and convince them to move onto me up till deadline. Otherwise, you're just parking your vote on me and doing nothing to help make it stick.

Wow! Wow! I mean. A) You're telling me how to scumhunt. B) You're outlining what you say Adrien is doing to you, making comments and trying to get you on people's radar to move you up for the deadline. If I think you're a wolf I should be doing this? Apparently what happens is that you tell me how to play the game if I'm town.

Finally Lewwyn, if I am scum for my attacks on Adrien, where is your opinion on Novice, who stands by my side? Why don't you have an opinion on Jabbz, Winston or Novice?

Seriously. Do you want me to talk about every person in every post? My feelings on Jabbz haven't changed my feelings on Novice haven't changed. I just listed the 3 people that I had read and focused on at that time. It wasn't about them. I knew I was coming back in the morning and that I'd have 5+ hours before deadline to A) review reactions to my post and others postings and B) make a final decision. This is obviously an attempt once again to paint me in a bad light.

I think it is suspicious to read today and conclude that I am scummy and Adrien not. But i may be biased on that question. What is more objective, is that you have delivered almost no insights or questions this whole day, Lewwyn.
And don't worry, I will never bow down to the fun police!

For the record I am in the middle of my busiest week of the year. Final exams, Grading, Organizing all that. I will be done Saturday I think. And I'm not just saying that, I literally signed up with that caveat in the sign up thread.
