So did you start 3-turn settlers in DMH and Big Slick? Can we send a couple of maces to the north island (if we get confirmation from Pegasus about the 10t cooldown period)? Could possibly build a couple of cheap archers to send up there too so that the axes can fogbust.
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Still saving gold, as I think we might want to head straight to Guilds and come back for Music afterwards. We can turn on science when the University in Pocket Bullets is done. (Maybe sneak in HBR before that so we can get started on some stables).
Definitely want HBR first, for stables and cos we need it for Knights anyway.

novice Wrote:But at our current tech pace, we'll have researched Drama->Music->HBR->Construction->Monarchy->Feudalism->Guilds in 15 turns.
So that means we are now doing:
Edu(done)->HBR->Construction->Monarchy->Feudalism->Guilds->Drama->Music?
We should chew through the first few really quickly. HBR, Construction and Monarchy will be 1-turn techs, and I reckon Feudalism might be with overflow, then Guilds might be 2 or 3 turns after that. In 3 turns (once the university is built in the capital), we'll have enough cash to fuel (almost) 6 turns at 100% research, so we could be building Knights in 9-10 turns.
I wonder when Pegasus will get Feudalism. We kinda thought he should have gone that route to get Civil Service, but he hasn't got either yet it seems.

Yeah, I meant, maybe not even wait for the uni.

Settler in DMH, mace in BS.
BS needs a market next for happy and due to the shrine.

Well, we're not going to build stables immediately (in DMH for example) so we may as well wait.

So the chop went into a mace?
Fair enough re the market, although for happiness we can hook incense and wine up soon.
Settler to replace our destroyed city presumably.
TT's chariot could be annoying if it got a promotion from that attack, although would the timing mean it would glow or would that take a turn to show (not sure how it works with PBEMs)?
It's going to be a bit annoying anyway. Which way did you send our most promoted axe?

Yes, good point.
spacemanmf Wrote:So the chop went into a mace?
Yes. I was thinking maybe we could load two maces onto our galley in the south sea and send him poking. I guess it should have a Trireme escort though.
spacemanmf Wrote:Settler to replace our destroyed city presumably.
Yes. We have the two important cities up north already though; horses and iron.

It didn't glow, but I don't think it would have even if it earned a promotion. It must have gained a good amount of XP since it had pretty low odds. But it already has Combat I and Flanking I, so it might not have enough XP for a third promotion.
Our axe healed in place. If TT moves his chariot two northwest we'll be in place to ambush it. I couldn't move the axe any closer to the action anyway without exposing it to attack by the chariot, which was no good.
Our galley looped back for another archer, so we'll have two archers to defend Broadway.

Poking at whom? We're not ready for a war against Pegasus and I'm not interested in pursuing vengeance against TT. Not yet anyway.

We have open borders so we could just send him west and he might be somewhere useful when conflict breaks out.
Anyway I wouldn't say we're not ready for a war against Pegasus. We're a lot more ready than he is. His border garrison is a vulture and a warrior.

Heh, that's true.
But we do only have 3 maces in total (plus another soon).
