[SPOILERS]Novice, Spacemanmf and Athlete4life10 are HUYANA CAPAC OF CHINA

I'm looking at the save, but won't be moving anything so far, just looking at city management etc. So feel free to give your input. I guess we have some days to get the turn played...

Right, T143 was finally played. Spaceman and I co-played it over a chat session.

We've started preparing for Globe Theatre by building Pavillions in our border cities. This turn we finished Guilds, and next turn we can get Engineering (in 1 turn). Ruff has announced in chat to all that he's cancelling all his NAPs subject to relevant terms. Luckily our NAP has a minimum duration until T200. smile

Other than that, our galley loaded with two maces has reached TT's lands. We debated unloading a mace to the forested hill to look for triremes, but decided to risk not revealing our hand.

Mouseover reveals that the pigs are improved, so our guess is that TT has a city 1W of the Pigs. If so, we can land two maces on the pigs next turn.

Reasons we think TT might not have a trireme lurking:
  • Does he even have Metal Casting? (hmm.. why didn't we ask Ruff a few turns ago? oh well.)
  • Does he have south coast cities capable of building Triremes?
  • Is his communication with Pegasus good enough that he knows we have a galley coming?
  • Why didn't the trireme meet us further east? Granted, we have a "no passage for hostile troops" clause with Pegasus, but I guess that would be open for interpretation in this instance.

Demographics are silly. Although it should be noted that Ruff's espionage economy is kicking into gear. This turn he stole Aesthetics and Feudalism from us.

Got it.

By the way, my thoughts go out to Norway after today's horrific incidents.

Right, our galley was not attacked and I could probably have moved it further since TT does not seem to have any southern ports. But I landed our maces on the pigs as planned anyway, which is not next to the city. My suggestion is to move SW next turn but I am happy to listen to alternate suggestions. Pegasus' vulture sits watching on the hill.

Talking of Pegasus, I sent a sentry chariot in for a look-see. The shot shows what's in Britannia. There's a longbow, HA, chariot and spear in Elland Road, and a longbow, 2 x HA and a chariot heading SW.

I whipped the lighthouse and monastery - we can overflow into pavilions. The axe took out the warrior, whilst our CKN headed west to intercept the axe since our mace is injured.

Our exploring 9/10 XP warrior found nothing.

The south. I started a cat in Kojak, a galley in Gut Shot (to keep Pegasus honest on the south coast) and a knight in DMH (naturally).

The west. Pavilion (completing EOT) -> barracks in Sailboats. Two workers in the NW chop the forests before the NAP expires (T147 is the last turn it is in operation).

Not that we have any sort of army to initiate attack, but there's no value in that anyway until we get some more advanced units, or a significant majority.

The east. Top Kicker switched to a stable, which will overflow to complete a knight next turn (which can stay to keep an eye on the eastern border). I put Full House on a forge, but if you want to build a pavilion sooner to get the Globe Theatre done sooner then feel free.

I started off the turn getting Engineering in 1, but unfortunately managed to get that down to 2 turns... Still, we'll get massive overflow to whatever's next. Philosophy -> Nationalism -> Gunpowder. Do we want to build the Taj in the capital?

Thank you. It is indeed horrific, I don't have the words to describe it any other way.

Ad Hoc got a Great Engineer last turn, and started a golden age this turn. I guess there were no wonders available for him to rush. wink

I moved the other Maceman 1SW as well. Our units should have odds on defense, but I guess the longbow saves the city. It doesn't have any fortification bonus, probably freshly chopped.

Builds this turn above, builds after ending turn below.

I messed up and put one hammer too much into the spearman become pikeman, so it can't be double whipped. We need to multi-whip something due to happiness, maybe whip a stable-less knight or a Grocer.

Suggest Gunpowder this turn, then Philosophy->Nationalism->Military Tradition.

Nice work. I took a peek at the save. Looks like Krill has positioned those southern units between Goodison Park and Britannia, ready to reinforce either.

Our maces & galley can wait for the trireme and then head back towards Pegasus in order to provide distraction there.

I see that he's sent a galley our way in the northern channel. Probably for a scout but we could do with tracking it with our trireme.

Maybe do a Grocer in Speed Limit since it will benefit from a couple of OR-boosted chops in two turns' time.
