[SPOILERS] Team SsS

Yeah I'm fine with that too, it'll be worth it if IW reveals iron nearby... Hopefully we'll have a better look at the land by then.

Turn 26:

Borders popped, but it didn't reviel any resources. Smash is en route to explore the NE. Hopefully I can have him do another circular movement down south, but I'll send him in another direction if he can't take that route without us having to worry too much about his safety.

Turn 27-28:

Smash led his expedition force out of the forest and marched them ontop of the hill so that they would gain greater visibility of the area. From there they were able to see the full extent of the great river Srhine, as it curled north and cut through the landscape. Impressed by the view they at first neglected to spot the pack of lions roaming below them on the flatland, and got struck by fear once they realised the danger they were in. Smash, relieved that the fearsome creature his people know as the bear was nowhere to be seen, raised his voice to reassure his men; "The higher grounds will give us the cover we need to defeat these beasts! Prepare defensive formation! Victory to the SsS!"

If the lion attacks it will do so at 1.80 vs 2.70 odds, so unless we're very unlucky Smash will survive. Domestically (see next screenshot) the swarrior Stitch (decided to stick to individual names on units for now for easier referrence) has been recruited to our military and is on his way SE since Smash will hang around in the NE looking for more resources close to Srhine. The corn farm will complete next turn, and since there's no point placing more chops into swarriors at this point our sworkers will then mine the two grassland hills to give Sandograd more improved tiles to work.

Turn 29:

Smash defeated the lion almost flawlessly. He took one hit and is now healing for two turns after going down to 1.7 health.

I added Stitch's projected path to the screenshot below. He will explore the southern regions of the Srhine (hopefully finding copper in the process thanks to Square Leg's dancing) and is likely to head down to the SE once that's taken care of. He may also continue E in search for other civilizations, but lets see what's waiting ahead before making that decision.

Our newest swarrior Storm is assigned to garrison duty in Sandograd and will remain there until it's safe for him to leave. He's probably going to explore the NW later on while one of the other swarriors is called back to help escort our first settler.

Remember me saying this?

Sandover Wrote:This team had a wonder strategy planned for RBP2 but got killed early. I figure their choice of IND here means they're going for something similar

No? Well, I did! And the screenshots below will prove that I was right about it.jive

Turn 30:

Stonehenge has been completed by the DJ Civilization. It's pretty clear that they started by builing a fast worker and then used it to chop the wonder, getting 40h per chop thanks to being Industrious. Their timeline was researching BW in around 18 turns and then chopping 4 forests in 12 turns. I'm guessing their plan is to grab a religion through bulbing using the Great Prophet generated by Stonehenge, though I won't be surprised if this team grabs hinduism since it's still available.

Wouldn't it be great if these guys turned out to be our neighbours so that we can invade them and steal all of the juicy wonders they're bound to build?

Smash is still healing and Stitch isn't leaving our territory until next turn, so it was a dull turn on the home front.

Wow! Stonehenge already gone! T29. IND is great in single player but it does paint a target on your civ in MP!

I'm surprised we haven't met anyone yet. Any turn soon I expect.
