Kuro this game is going to die from boredom if you can't play the turns in a reasonable period of time. Do you want to stay in or not? I hate to be a nag but this is unreasonable:

to be completely honest i'm all for booting Kuro replacing (dazedroyality still interested?) for the sake of keeping the game alive

I agree. Either replacement or a Mao-Sian-Slowwalk coalition of the willing to induce an Atlantis event. Preferably replacement because the coalition action would take months to execute at this rate.

If needed I can induce a full Atlantis, although that's obviously not ideal and it takes more hackery than I could swing by myself. Might want to look for a replacement of some sort.

I concur with replacing Kuro. Much prefer this over Atlantis.
