Giving LP tie-breaking power is fine by me, and would have been no matter what he voted. We all trust him enough to want to be on his team - that he chooses to be a less involved team captain is his choice and prerogative.

This is a true democracy, dadgummit, the most inefficient form of government of all time. If the so-called Lord (please note that the concept of nobility is inherently against the equality of all, and therefore democracy!! [Therefore: Aliens!!!]) wants to have tie-breaking powers, then we need to vote on it!

I propose that we authorize a Committee On Tiebraking to authorize a sub-committee to run a feasibility study on the proposed election and it's repercussions. Give them ten months to figure it out.

How many people do we have on the team who haven't voted? We don't even have an accurate team list that I know of.

Game recruitment thread indicates that we have eleven players plus the captain for twelve total. TheArchDuke and Joshua are the only people not represented so far. Not sure if that is 100% up to date though.

Sadly, a functioning large-scale democracy pretty much pre-supposes a bureaucracy.

If our democracy means that only few people doing something and the rest just farting around, but still can vote down any weedy decision they wanted, only because there are more of them, I shit on such democracy. I am out.

That's a little over the top. No need to get uptight, it's not a big deal.

The suggestion to go with the more conservative option if we're not sure about something makes sense. If that's not enough, I'm happy to change my vote so we can get the turn played. Let's not meet the Pirates for now (intentionally, anyway), and move the Scout 2SE.

So we've moved SE and avoided contact for the moment, and we have found even more Deer by the gold!



Our Worker has also completed and I've moved on to the Warrior build:



I'll post the Demos in the other thread. So we now have nice city spots available to us on both sides of the Gold.

For next turn, I'm thinking S-SW for the Scout?

Dropbox folders are of different types.

The "Shared" I've set up is mostly intended for C&D use. You, Mortius, stonaq, and me can all read and write to it. But it isn't publicly accessible - you have to have ask for access to it (but all four of us can invite other people). It's nice to stick the regular demos screen shots there that show little changes, or the tile-swapping tests, or any Excel sheets, but we can't link to it from the general Internet.

Dropbox has a public folder that I use for those screen shots that I take that I post here, but it's a different folder, and it's only me that can use that one. You have your own Public folder in your dropbox folder that you can use as well, but if you're used to working with Photobucket I see little reason to change that.

That's one ridiculous area to the north/east of the Gold... many locations that would make for awesome cities. Though even with us settling our capital in that direction, most of that area (the food at least) is still closer to the Pirates than us, which sucks a bit.

I wonder if there's a similar area between us and Gillette, perhaps closer to us.
