Perhaps Shootthe moon could jump ahead and take 10 now? That should, by my calculations, leave Commodore with an army ready to have a go at the babylonians for our featured episode for next week...

Just had a peek at the save. Hammurabi got Feudalism. So guess we need a few catapults, and enough cash to upgrade most troops to macemen. Can sell a few techs for this. No catapults built yet, two in production. I'd rather build & whip one from capital over crossbowman, I think.

Just a warning: I put up some 'keep' signs...'Sippar' is marked 'keep', but if we raze and refound that one south we can also plop down a city just across the strait from our capital. That would be better long term, but perhaps settlers are too much of a distracion to build for us...

I won't be able to play until after May 9 unfortunately. Travelling without civ access until then.

I am quite certain that's the worst report Commodore has ever posted. Ever.

Better late than never. I've got a hunch that Civfanatics forums there are more succession games getting started. Although you could start a thread in the civ general discussion about setting up a new one. If the idea for playing it is cool enough people will sign up.

Perhaps
Green - Vet - Green - Vet succession game at high difficulty level. Green asks a bit, makes some mistakes, vets come in and give a lot of screaming[/] constructive, friendly advice on how to [s]g-damn play improve their performance.

Or just some crazy idea like ...(insert crazy idea here, my mind had a inspirational malfuncion)

(2 days till shoot the moon starts shooting babylonians instead, yeah)

Alright, so I declared war on Hammurabi and the response can pretty much be summarized as such:

Anyhow, that meant the troops that would have been going after Hammurabi were instead transported over quickly for defense. I was though eventually able to bribe Augustus out of the war for something like 70 gold.

At this point we have 600-700 gold saved up. In my view, we have two options to use that on. We could either upgrade some units to maces (roughly 150 gold per upgrade there) or we could make a real push towards liberalism, aiming to take nationalism with it. In my view I think we should do the latter, as drafting to me seems like the only efficient way for us to raise an army and accomplish what we need to win this game.
