Molach accepted my gold for gems offer as I was playing, that's really nice ! It was his only gold for my spare gems too, so even if he can cancel his other deals for gold to get it back he's basically giving me a happiness resource for free. My forges will be epic !

Hmmm so this happened.




The one thing that's annoying about no city trade at all is that I'd really want to try a peace for Allen+Habana offer, to tech in peace until knights. But that's not going to happen here...

Forges are of course delayed, and spearmen are being built.

Update : the capital will probably be lost this turn. My units are a little late unfortunately... Also who knew that a C2 spearman in a 60% culture city was almost certain to lose against 2 keshiks ? Because that's what will happen next turn. Also I lost a 70% spear against keshik battle dealing only 1 hit, because of course I'm getting the bad luck now.

Anyway, at the end of this turn it's quite possible that the northern half of my empire will have gone to AT. That's Habana, Savea, Allen (which happened 2t ago) Kearney and Seymour. Sorry for no screenshots, I took one but it didn't seem to work.

AT countered with 10gpt, I countered with 50g. After sending the offer I noticed a catapult NW of Seymour so that might have been a mistake.

Sadly AT took the deal. Habana was meh but was becoming an acceptable commerce city. Allen was my second city and a good foodhammer spot, and Savea was ok and starting to be useful. But it's surmountable, mostly because I have Tsargon nearby. If I get to share his land with Gavagai and HAK I might be back in the pack (although not in the lead, I'm out of that now).
