Hey, Pindicator, how much do you want for that scout's life?
That's a serious question, by the way.

Not much. He'll probably save me 1gpt if you care to kill him for me.
But if you're offering I'll take a little map knowledge since that's all the scout is good for. That seems an interesting trade.

I don't want to post screenshots of my land (since it'd be for everybody), but if you give me some sort of landmark, I can describe things around. Your scout current position, for example, could be one of it. But maybe you'd prefer some knowledge of the other side of the empire. If you are willing to do the deal, I kindly ask you to move your scout 1S1SW next turn, to that jungle tile. I'm preparing a cerimonial ritual killing for him. ![]() Edit: I didn't see you have already moved the scout. Could you please move him 2S2W to the grassland tile next turn?
@Ichabod. I'd be interested in seeing the area where you made contact with Moogle.

@sunrise. I have a more concrete description for the route you'll go. I can't attest to how free it is of barbarians and it covers all jungle tiles, but it is the shortest route I know for this purpose. 3E of your newest city is a jungled banana. That is your scout's first checkpoint. Let me know when you arrive at it.

Hey HAK, was that you who nabbed Theology? The score increase was right. Up for a worker-for-missionary trade?
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
@pindiactor - Will do. FYI it will be one turn slower than we both planned. A barb warrior blocked my path this turn, so I had to run away.

When we launched we made this rule: Quote:Bans: Obviously the rule is still in effect. I don't know though whether this counts as a "trade or gift." It sounds quite "trade-y" to me though. Quote:Bans: I took that to mean the in game mechanic of trading and gifting (which seemed redundant in AW so possibly I mis-understood things). If we mean any kind of trading... well, you could argue sunrise & I have already broken that one when i posted screenshots in exchange for directions.

I don't see anything wrong with trading information. But letting someone capture your cities/workers on purpose is the most obvious violation of that rule I can conceive of. pindicator Wrote:I took that to mean the in game mechanic of trading and gifting (which seemed redundant in AW so possibly I mis-understood things). If we mean any kind of trading... well, you could argue sunrise & I have already broken that one when i posted screenshots in exchange for directions. I guess you could so argue. I'd offer two distinctions: 1) No one said anything despite us being very public. That suggests to me most of the teams didn't view it as a trade/gift in the context of the rule. 2) It's out-of-game. All of the other bans... Quote:Bans: ...are in-game actions. That said, I think pindicator does have a point about the rule maybe intending to prohibit the in-game trade screen. That isn't my personal view though. Can I propose something? Why don't we give Mist a little while longer to check in, and if he's not interested in adjudicating we could take a player vote. As you may know, I despise changing rules during a game since it runs the risk of people ganging up on someone unpopular, but for a rule clarification I think a vote may be the best choice. |
