Good point, but that bonus is just 7.5% per player who knows the tech, so only amounts to 1 extra GNP. On that note Ruff's GNP is probably 28, but the average still works out to 24.

If Ad Hoc had met the three other players, he would have the necessary 1.225 modifier for reaching a GNP of 31, but there is no tech known by the other three that he could be researching. So it still looks to me like Ad Hoc is on an Oracle beeline. I don't know what I like least, this or the prospect of being choked by Ruff's aggressive warrior.

I'm hoping that he doesn't use the unfair awarding of a promotion to his advantage and do that. But he likes to role play these things so who knows. Besides, we can quickly have three warriors surrounding his if needed - we may just lose a town.

Losing the town is one thing, worse in my opinion is the lost turns on building warriors. Anyway, I'm probably being overly pessimistic here. The waiting is getting to me... Sucked in, me? Never!

It's quite easy to get really involved in these isn't it? The worry over a single warrior can be ridiculous. In fact so much that after the fact you'll wonder what the hell you were thinking. The whole thing is pretty funny!

Ya sorry for not being around. I would have actually lobbied not to vary from the worker start but missed the turn it happened. I expect after Jan. 15th I'll get time to lurk everyday and what not. Until then I'll look when I can. You guys seem to have a decent plan of attack without me so keep going!

Your input is definitely appreciated. Regarding the warrior switch, at least we have made life difficult for our opponents' c&d departments, what with switching around techs, tiles and builds...
