Captured Cherokee with no casualties. Changed name to "Magic Carpet". Will heal up and then head to the next barb city, which is already size 2 and guarded by three warriors.

Got Currency and found BaII so we got some +3 gold trade routes going.
Need to do the same with others.
The island is a bit bigger than expected.

Offered this trade to BaII. No-one has any happiness to offer and I don't want the extra wines to just sit there idle
Might be more city spots on the Phallus Island.
That's like 3x the workers I would normally have. A huge improvement hopefully :P
I've done some stupid stuff this game and our start was bad imo, but I'm learning a lot by playing a peaceful PB opening and I'm actually enjoying MM.
Well this is awkward. We've got three axes. HP and promos in screen shot. He's got one full HP chariot. Barbarians have 3 full HP warriors and 1 worker.
Should we play it safe and kill 1 barbarian and his chariot on first turn, then cap the city? Or go for the city and hope we have enough HP that he doesn't try anything?
I would like to remain peaceful with him, but in short term it's obviously better to attack the chariot than be attacked by it.
I moved our workers back. They were roading but I don't want them captured.

If you think Kurumi is unlikely to fight too hard to hold onto the area, flat out killing the chariot isn't a bad option.
If you're against instigating war, you could attack with 1 axe the first turn, and then you'll be able to move at least 2 of them into the city the following turn.
Did we ever tech Hunting? If not, it seems a good time to get it since holding that area against chariots will be very expensive with just axes and chariots ourselves.

We 1T teched Hunting a few turns ago. I wanted to get some spears up since we're going to have cities near our natural borders to Kurumi. We have two in production but none up yet. Still don't have horses.. I had an option to settle The Sultan on the cows tile to grab the horses on second ring, but instead chose a stronger spot without the horses.

Kurumi's chariot ran away! We took an extra turn crossing the river, then attacked and captured the city!
We renamed it Razoul. It came with the best kind of worker: a free one!
EDIT: If you capture right now, for only 0.00$ you also get a copper mine add-on!
Then on the same turn we settled Rajah on the Phallus Island.
We're now at 10 cities, which is more than anyone we've met other than Serdoa, who's btw running away with the game.
Let's hope he's got some bloodthirsty neighbors to slow him down.
Researching Code of Laws to get some courthouses up. I'm not sure if that tech path I had in mind earlier is a good idea.
I think aiming for CS or Feudalism might be better.
How should we get our shrine?

Found Gavagai's borders! Strange that we hadn't met them yet, having been so close.
Oh, and a new barbarian city. Soon to be ours. Barbarians... You guys are alright. I forgive you for the uprising in PB9
We also have two settlers under production.. But where to settle? Should we claim more land, or start filling up the gaps? I think we might be getting to the point where expanding any further east only leads to war. Razoul even has a liberate option! But it would be very nice to claim even more land if our neighbors aren't going to do anything about it.. Here's a map:

Never fun to find one of those running around. Razoul will live, but gotta be careful he doesn't take Magyar or just randomly snipe our axes.
One spear near (check pic), two more on the way. Fourth one two turns from completion. Can whip another from Razoul soon.

Gavagai is probably on another continent, that's my guess. Although, could very easily be on ours considering our exploration hasn't been great.

Now Gavagai has a chariot running around. Was tempted to pull the trigger. I will if they don't leave soon.
