Somehow I got contact with Lewger. Not sure how. Must have been a galley passing in the night.

I hope suttree plays his turn in the next 2-3 hours - that would mean I can get the next turn in before bed and not have to fit it in first thing in the morning.

Bacchus' power is going crazy. I am definitely going to have to step my military production up.

Oh and it turns out my sentry archer cannot see into Double Star, but can see everything in front of the city. I have three turns warning on any army that wants to advance to attack Mar Sara. In the next five turns I'll have the jungle in front of that city cleared out and turned into a killing zone.

I think I need to swap away from Currency to Construction though. It's a hard choice, since I need Currency badly, but I need cats.

I moved my sentry archer up to Bacchus' borders onto the gems last turn. It was next to a worker at the time. This turn I log in and the worker is still there. I decide to spare it.

Nothing has actually happened since the game has been down, so here's a picture of what I've been up to in the meantime.

Turn 122

The jungle is now pretty much Dhalphir territory. A single axe captured the barbarian city in the north of the jungle. It was defended by two warriors, had five pop, and the barbarians made no effort to get any additional defenders, even after the axe took out the first warrior last turn. I'm not complaining, that city is dynamite - pigs and silk, both of which are already hooked up, several hamlets and a couple nearly-hamlet cottages already built, and provides an easy bridge to the sheep/clams/fish/horse site above it later. Will be a massive contributing city the moment it comes out of resistance. There is one more filler city to go in the main part of the jungle too, just south of the clams. That spot will pick up a ton of extra grassland for amazing commerce, a gem tile and grass hill for some small production, and a clam to feed the latter two tiles. Not a bad city. That will have to be settled later though, when I don't have such a hotly contested border there. I don't want to be defending two forkable cities against someone with as much power as Bacchus.

I also noticed that Plako has a spare incense and no pigs. Might be worthwhile offering him pigs & open borders for that incense. I need the happiness, he is not a rival of mine in this game (not yet), and open borders benefits him more than me, so giving him the commerce for the incense is a pretty good trade, I think. Only the leaders need to worry about plako getting more open borders, and I will not win this game. I just want to get as strong as possible for whoever eventually takes me out.

Oh yeah, and as you can see from the screenshot, Currency due in 4t. That will MASSIVELY help my GNP.
