Turn 65 lurker update: If the empire was a color, I'd describe it as sort of a meady ochre. We're tall but under-expanded, which is frankly kind of embarrassing for Suryavarman. Just whipped away a pair of citizens into a granary, so let's call this 5 cities, four granaries, two libraries as my infrastructure. Mathematics and the ancient typical stuff (sans religious line) are the techs, but we're about to hit Currency for a whopping 5 commerce more in trade.

I'd be reasonably sanguine about development levels but REM looks kind of militarized; that might very well be him as top power. Elkad, the other neighborish guy, seems to be doing very average at the moment. Crop is of course preen-worthy (this is after those two whips), but you can see the mere two mines being worked as the MFG pain. Land area is a bit of a lie due to Creative.

I'm focusing on spears for defense at the moment; if REM comes marching up with a big mass of axes I can whip a wave o' chariots. Worker count is good of course, but they're in the silly process of chopping Pyramids failgold at the moment.

Hope that helps you, TBS. Let me know if there is anything else you need...

So if you get Mids, you would use that to...go even taller? At 1AD, we'll see you with still five cities, all size 13?

Son, you're thinkin' small. Cheap markets, hanams, Representation? Try size 17.

Doubt I'll land 'em, though. Mostly this is just some hyper-efficient failgold, which will get me Confucianism with luck. As these chops roll in (eschewing the 1-turn plan, it was inefficient with worker labor) the workers are going first to the corner city southeast of Tetrehahn, then to the planned Kempen filler and so on.

REM is still making me nervous but he's in between a rock and a hard place. Mackoti/T.A.T.U are on his other side and making one hell of a start; he's got to hate being in the middle here. Elkad to his east ain't exactly Mr. Safe either...about average performance thus far out of his 'Muricans, but he's hella prickly.

Coinflip incoming! If I lose, eh, 500 gold to power me to Confucianism and Civil Service amazingly fast. If Mr. Engineer loses...heh, ouch.

Kind of shocked to not see them fall yet.

Good luck! You said all along it's just failgold, which are you actually rooting for?
