Prion disease is nasty but really rare. Always a bigger deal than it probably needs to be, but it is so transmittable. I don't think you would be able to get brain anywhere here...

I guess there's nothing particularly new scouted by the furs area, since we were on a hill last turn.
Cool on the naming scheme. I have to admit: what I found most surprising about French cooking, in the exposure I've had, is how much we (americans) have already adopted. I went to a French restaurant here, and it seemed like 90% of the menu was what I thought of as basic American cooking . Granted, I don't know how authentic it was, but every example I looked into turned out to be real: Croque Monsieur/Madame, Omelets, onion soup...all originally French, all things that have been adopted by American culture to the point I hadn't even realized where they came from. It makes sense, in retrospect: most of our original culture came from England and France and Germany. When it comes to food, if those are your options, of course you're going to go with mostly French with odds and ends taken from the others .
It did mean that the restaurant was disappointing, because it was all things I cooked at home regularly. Not like visiting a Thai restaurant where even if I knew how to cook the food, I don't keep the ingredients on hand.

Actually I found a cow some tiles to the SE of the fur. It's pretty far away though.

Standard French cooking is indeed pretty simple. I doubt that I eat regularly anything you've never heard of or tried*, except for a few things that my mother particularly likes like cress soup
So I'll be focusing on the special dishes that we don't usually eat more than a couple times a year. I hope to get to a few things that you've never heard of once I'm done with the regular stuff.
* edit : actually there might be some side dishes that are uncommon in many other countries and very common in France. I'll get to those eventually. I doubt I could live without saucisson for example

I think that's the second worker whip. All these hills make our workers less efficient, so I'm not convinced that was a mistake, mind.

Will try. I expect to be pretty busy with family this weekend, but I might be able to find time to look and consider ideas.

IDK. It's pretty vague, but if you could confirm/infirm my feeling that I'm not doing it right I'd appreciate it. I've been ill the past week and I don't think I've been thinking clearly about what to do, it would be a shame to screw up our game just because of that.
