Hearthstone

So I drafted mage and the last pick was between two so-so legendaries and a Flame Leviathan.

I'm probably going to regret it but I picked the Leviathan lol

Edit: I have a lot of small creatures too!

Almost pressed that surrender button. I coined out the mech. He gave his creatures +1/+1 and killed the mech with spider + hero power.

The mech summoned a random 2-cost minion.

Patient. Assassin.

This expansion is very, very random.

I played a force tank, enemy froze it with a spare part, recombobulated force tank into a Tirion tongue

Flame Leviathan came up 3 times in my mage arena run. I don't think I can recommend it for arena - for constructed I can see some fun possibilities but I'd only grab it in arena if I had a lack of early game.

First occurance caused me to I laugh so hard. I'm playing a paladin that knew how to look into the future.

The second time I drew it it was on turn 3. I played amani berserker on turn 2, and leviathan was a big help there: killing the opponent's 2-drop and enraging the berserker. I won that game.

And the third time I drew it on the first turn. No effect on the board, and I ended up losing.

Warlock seems to have gained a significant arena upgrade despite the Soulfire nerf. Darkbomb rounds out the set of Warlock mini-nukes nicely. Lots of x/4 around for shadowbolt and soulfire to kill. Floating watcher is a massive late game threat and synergizes with the already excellent Dread Infernal. The chances of getting stuck with terrible class cards like Succubus decreased. And 1 healbot keeps life tap going into the late game.

5-0 with this so far, only one game was close.

1: mortal coil, soulfire, abusive sergeant x2
2: darkbomb, acidic ooze, dire wolf alpha, haunted creeper x2, mad bomber, murloc tidehunter, recombobulator
3: shadowbolt, harvest golem, shattered sun, spider tank, tauren warrior
4: hellfire, dark iron dwarf, stormwind knight, violet teacher x2
5: antique healbot, floating watcher x2, spectral knight, venture co merc
6: siphon soul, dread infernal
8: force tank max

I love the new expansion, and have been playing it almost non-stop when I've had the opportunity. Arena results: 7, 8, 8, 7.

The randomness really hits the right spot, IMO. It doesn't feel gimmicky, and most of the time it allows you to circumvent playing the odds with good play. I will say that it'll be interesting to see what happens in constructed with the mech decks, given that the power level feels about right in Arena at the moment. It might be OP. Even so, the new cards are great fun, for the most part.
