[SPOILERS]Novice, Spacemanmf and Athlete4life10 are HUYANA CAPAC OF CHINA

spacemanmf Wrote:Hmmm, retreating the cats means there's a better possibility of doing a spy revolt and taking the city with our mounted units. Need plenty of rifles to hold the city afterwards, though, but I quite like the option.

Did you build any spies then? They need 5 turns stationary for maximum discount.

No, it was an afterthought. We could do with a bunch of rifles first anyway. Can build one in Gut Shot maybe. I think that completed the market EOT.

OK, turn 167 played, and we discovered Rifling, which Ruff stole last turn . Whipped a few buildings, then revolted to Theo and Nationalism and drafted in Big Slick, Full House, Sailboats and Wheel.

Settling party is making its way westwards towards Pegasus's iron.

TT declared on Ad Hoc.

I ran 50% EPs this turn so that we can afford a spy revolt in Britannia. We were also 1EP away from losing Pegasus's graphs.

Speed Limit needs to work an extra food next turn to grow in 1. Take the cottage from Big Slick, for example.

Some thoughts/questions.

Why draft Big Slick? I thought it was relatively close to its happy cap and we would want to draft the smaller cities first.

What's in the settling party? Rifle, settler, missionary to meet up with musket?

Ad hoc is so dead. TT wants to be careful not to overstretch, but no reason not to pinch a few cheap cities.

Two of those pictures were the same (of ad hoc's land). Do I say "snap!"?

Good plan re EPs on Pegasus - he should take back the reins of Sumeria soon.

Our GNP vs others is mental, although Ruff's is clearly severely understated given his effectiveness at stealing techs.

We'll want to draft it eventually and it had the happy for it. It forgets the last draft in 2 turns and I wanted a rifle in SL.

Settling party is 4 workers, a settler, a missionary, 2 muskets, a rifle, spear and mace.

Fair enough then.

Nice party.

Okay, T168 played. In world news, Ruff declared on TT, and Pegasus now has Gunpowder.

In the northwest, we're planning to settle cities two tiles inland on Pegasus's land, to prevent him from establishing port cities there.

The two straggling workers, Lyle and Noel, need to road the tile NW of the sheep. Then the two workers in our ministack can road the tile west of that, and our settler and one-movers can move to the city spot.

Our stack should be invisible to Pegasus's vulture, so unless it moves away our rifle can kill it.

We have the galley capacity so we might want to ship some cavalry over there too.

Having run 1 turn of 50% EP we're now rougly even with Pegasus in EPs, and we have enough for a spy revolt in Britannia. If we run another turn of 50% EP we'll get city (and research) visibility on Pegasus, that might be worth doing.

Those demographics are pretty absurd. Pure snowball effect or did the others do something wrong?
If you know what I mean.
