Hi all, I'm Dan. I found Realms Beyond by reading Sulla's Civ4 walkthrough and other games. I have been playing since Civ II and I love the game.
I am a bit disappointed with Civ5 so far, and so I am looking for some new Civ4 challenges. Probably too late to start the current Epic, but excited to jump in on the next one!

Hello, the nick's Mr. Yellow. I too, found this site through Sullas site as well.
I'm pretty much done with CIV 5 as well. Played several games till i felt something unusual only to find out hours later that it was actually boredom.
It did rekindle my interest in 4X TBS though and started playing CIV4 again, although it's actually the mod FfH 2 that interrests me. Lots of fun stuff to find in that one.

I've been lurking/reading a few weeks, and though I might be interested in following some more of the Civ 4 gaming here since it seems like the honeymoon with Civ 5 is over. It did get me interested in Civ 4 again, though, which is definitely a good thing! Thinking about trying to involve myself in one of the MP games here sometime in the future, as I've only ever played SP and I think some MP gaming would be fun.

Guess I should post here. Been aware of Realms Beyond from Sulla's games. Didn't really come across this site until searching for further info on Illian rituals brought me to PB's thread for FFH2 PBEM1. He did a really good intro which had me reading further and held me through reading PBEM. Which at first seemed like something too slow for me to get into, but now I'm a fan of just seeing the game and diplomacy develop. Now would like to try my hand at it eventually.

Hi all, I figured I should post here, even though I'm not nominally new. I'm Mach, and I've been watching RB (on and off) since Civ3. I'm not much of a video gamer, but I played both civ3 and civ4, and even reported in two of the final civ3 epics. I liked civ4 very much, and watched RB's games over the years, but never got around to joining in and reporting a game. I recently started looking at RB again when civ5 came out, and that lead me to start playing League of Legends lately. That basically sums up my entire video gaming experience of the last 10 years.
I think I might play the most recent civ4 adventure. It looks like a fun game, doubly so since I haven't played the game in over a year. Also, if anyone would like to play with a LoL noob, my handle there is Carteret. (I'm a level 9 player who generally plays Kayle...I need to learn a second champion one of these days.)

I found this forum after reading some of Sullla's thoughts about Civ5. I don't like it as much as I liked Civ4 and Civ3, but I think there could be a good game somewhere beneath the surface. I've never posted on a forum before, but have lurked at Civfanatics for a long time.

Iâve signed up to RB because Iâve had a great time playing through Adventure 48 and wanted to share my thoughts. Iâve been following the Civ sites on the internet since I belatedly picked up a copy of Civ3, but havenât ever leapt in before.
Iâve come to realise that the computer games that hold my interest are those where MY actions and decisions drive what happens next (rather than simply progressing through the story the developers have written) and part of the fun is the consideration and anticipation for those actions. That means Civ and Football Manager have occupied a lot of time, with games like Sim City, Pirates and Extreme Warfare Revenge (in order of public awareness) getting a look over the last few years. Unfortunately, a small child and a wife who believes computer games are inherently evil somewhat limit my gaming time.
Realms Beyond seems like an excellent site. The community activity is about ideal â you can probably catch up on all the relevant posts in a lunchbreak or a journey, and there seems to be a fun spirit and clear ethos about the place. I shall try to battle my lurky instincts and dive right in!

Hello, I just signed up on this site and this thread seemed the closest to newcomers introduction thread
I am relative newcomer to Civilization 4 who in fact jumped in after Civ 5 has been released, and discovered this site through Sulla's listed PBEM games- which I found extremely fascinating. Initially I was reserved about joining in since I am mediocre and casual player who plays on Noble, still clueless about basic strategies & city placement/management & score stalking, but eventually thought to myself 'why not?' and plunged in. My goal is to improve myself enough to take gander at participating in one of those Pitboss or e-mail games, and while I fully expect to be ![hammer hammer](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/hammer.gif) by others it should be fun and amazing experience.
Another thing to note is that I play FfH II mod much much more than the Civ4 BtW, so my efforts to the site is almost assuredly going to be focused to that aspect. Mini-goal I have at the moment is to do that FFH2 Adventure that is now going on!

Hi everyone, I'm cyf, long time lurker de-lurking.
I've been lurking this forum since civ 3, but mostly didn't find the time to post anything. With a recent break in my schedule, I'm finally joining and participating in the community.
