btw - I think that's a northern landbridge, mainly because of the banter thread, where nicolae mentiond that the visiting warrior might sit on the "plains hill forest" .

Agreed. But we're lucky in that I think Sian went the other way & we know Tankra did. I think everyone else but us is growing to Size 3 before starting their settlers. Ready to have a target on our back?

Yeah, I think it'll be a lot easier to push the southern passage, but with the double-deer and lakes up here there's enough food that we should make sure we get our fair share slice of it too.
The plan is for the warrior to be on B (the gold hill) in 3 turns
We could go A, wait, then B.
Or we could go A, C, D, B and get him there a turn late. Either way is fine.
The north
I really need to start using in-game tags - they are much better.
There's a fair amount of land up here
I marked a couple of potential city sites. One that really interests me (though I'm not sure if it's good, or just kind of cool) is B, which is in the lower right. That should allow a lighthouse for the whale lake + deer + sheep, which is very cool. We could plan to make a submarine base if the game ever got that far (hahaha) It's not much of a priority, but...
So, the micro plan was to build a mine, then road. I roaded, since we had wheel a turn early, plus started to research pottery, since that seemed to be what the micro plan said.
I'm wondering if we should go switch to fishing, though, to get the bonus for pottery? Also, is that mine important? Should we be building it? I think that was just a way to keep the worker busy while we got the wheel.
Demos:
I completely agree that we should do some demo analysis. I'll try putting together a spreadsheet tonight, unless you get a wild hair to do it
Next turn is yours. I think we move NE, onto that tundra hill? It looks like we'll get visibility on anyone coming by anyway, and we can build a warrior fast
