Ok, quick recap:

First, I fucking hate the AP mechanics:



I had to defy resolution (and good thing I did--everyone else voted yes and it would have switched). The downside now is that two of our new cities don't have the happiness to ever grow beyond size one. One of them is even unhappy at size 1! What a ridiculously stupid game mechanic.

Mid way through the turn set I was able to capture Bulger. The big news for the rest of the turnset was finally getting some more peace:





I promptly got that gold back from Isabella:



We are thus currently only at war with Augustus, who is now talking to us but wants Bulger back for peace. While I am confident we can take Augustus, the problem for us is both Charlemagne and Hammurabi are currently WHEOOHRN, and we are almost certainly the target.

Tech path wise, mostly saved gold this turn set after finishing education. General plan I think should be to push for lib-->nationalism. Drafting will be a great way for us to produce the army we are bound to need considering that more or less half the world hates us at this point. Also, I think we should probably adopt free religion when we get the chance. Getting some of those diplo points off will really help us with a couple of the other continent AIs.
