[Spoilers] Fintourist and Old Harry have nothing to see here

Turn 9

Woohoo!

Second city for the gold? Although I can't see a way of it sharing the fish and getting the gold first ring... Where the scout is standing would make a decent bureau cap eventually. It depends how many cities everyone is going to get how useful that would be to us.

Jowy got a seven-point score increase, which I'm going to guess is a tech and a pop - so he's gone warrior first (he didn't start with fishing for wb-first). I can't decide if I hope he is near us or not...

Nice! Finally some good news!
That area must take care of our early game commerce! Let's keep fingers crossed that there is still one land-food-resource in the fog! please

Btw, if we would settle our 2nd city where the scout currently stands, I can see us timing 2 chops so that our second city would produce a work boat on the same turn it is founded and then overflowing into barracks to get gold relatively fast inside our borders.

I made the first part of our scout moves... and found a lion! When you have time, check the situation and let's decide if we sacrifice our scout to those beasts (move to forest) or run away.. crazyeye

A 1/5 chance of losing him? I'm inclined to run away, but we need to get that peninsula explored... I guess we could circle through our own land safely, so depending on what the lion does next turn we could...

B:

C:

Fingers crossed that he moves onto the gold, or at least visibly (some of B and C we can't distinguish, but lets worry about that next turn.)

What do you think?

Very nice illustrations!

Yeah, let's run away and try again next turn (I guess we will want to move to the same tile again if the lion is not immediately visible). Part of me wants to gamble and get a promotion for our "Lunch", but losing the scout would simply be a catastrophe (mostly because it would make next turns incredibly boring!). lol

PS. There must be a hut N of lion!

Okay, I'll go move him. If we can't see the lion next turn I think we should move into our culture, just to be sure of getting around him...

Lion is currently not visible, which means that there are 3 different tiles where it can be. How about we move first NW and if we spot a lion then go NE. If we don't see a lion we can decide between taking the 50/50 shot and move to forest or spend a turn waiting in place.

These early game discussions... crazyeye

Could it have stayed still? If not we know it's on one of three tiles, in which case NW sounds good. Then:
- if you still can't see the lion I'd probably move to the gold for the extra visibility (across the water as well)
- if it's on the coast (north of the gold) move to the forest, then we have a 3/4 chance to get to the grass hill next turn

Sounds like a plan. I think the lion can't stay still if it has tiles where it can move, but I'm not 100 %..
