I am a little disappointed the final chapter wasn't an orgy of death, but it's never that tough if you play smart. Plus you have Myrrh in case nobody can stand up to Morva or Lyon. Her only disadvantage is being stuck with 5 Move and 1-range, so she doesn't see much combat if you move quickly.
This was a lot of fun for me, stressful as it was at times, but speaking for myself our next SG, if we do one, should have a different concept. We could try that draft competition for FE6, if PB28 hasn't eradicated Jowy's patience for me
There was the FE6 draft idea:
- We'd draft characters between the three of us.
- We'd play our own runs, but only start the next chapter when everyone's played and reported the previous.
- The goal could be just to complete our playthroughs, or for a more competitive variant we could go for lowest turn count wins.
Apart from that I don't have anything Fire Emblem related, as I've only played 7 and 8 and we've completed both now.
I'd be cool with a draft. It would be best if we had four or five people drafting, but a three-person draft could probably work.
Making it a competition for low turn counts probably is a bit iffy given the skill disparity (ex. Jowy's never played FE6, I've beaten it on Hard Mode).

Newbie vs veteran should make for an interesting comparison though
Let's see if we have any interest from new players. Just post here if you're up for it.
Not having played FE6 before is fine too, it'd let me have an equal opponent!

Alright, I'm convinced. I haven't actually played FE6 in a year at least, so I may not be as good as I claim
Here's a sample set of drafting rules I found online. We might want to tweak it (eg if we have only 3-4 players), but it should be a good base:
Drafting:
1. This draft is for 5 players.
2. Roy, Marcus, Merlinus, Lalam/Elphin, and Fa are free for all to use.
3. Three units will remain undrafted.
4. The game will be played on Normal Mode.
Rules:
1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, rescue undrafted units and NPCs, trade, visit Shops and Armories, and dig up items in the desert.
2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to meatshielding, building Supports, and opening Doors or Chests.
3. Use of the Warp staff is banned.
4. All Gaiden chapters are required to be visited. Chapter 20x (either route) does not count towards the total turncount up to 20 turns taken.
5. NPCs may do as they please without penalty.
6. The game must be played out to the True Ending.
Penalties:
1. Undrafted units have a 4 turn penalty per unit, per chapter.
Exceptions:
1. Undrafted Thieves may be used to obtain necessary Promotion items.

I'm in between the two of you, as I've played through most of it on normal but never touched hard.
The Serenes Forest guide to the bonus chapters covers how to get there without spoiling anything beyond character names, and all you have to do to get the true ending is avoid using up / losing any of the legendary weapons, which you'd be unlikely to do anyway.
Questions about those rules:
- it doesn't mention draft pick order; I'd assume snake pick, but that seems like a good thing to have explicitly stated
- I'm curious - why's Fa a free unit for everyone? I can see the logic behind Roy (forced), Marcus (make sure the first few maps are always doable), Merlinus (only item storage!), and Elphin/Lalam (unique-for-a-given-route-split utility unit). Is she just there to make sure endgame's not completely impossible?
Otherwise, we probably want to wait a couple of days to give anyone else who's interested a chance to join, but those rules look fine to me.
