If superdarn will hurry up and play I can grab the turn before the kids come back inside screaming.
Xenu. Man. Sorry your team sucks. Wtf are they even doing out there?
We were beginning to exceed expectations for this season so the last two weeks we have done our best to return expectations to more reasonable levels by losing.

I went ahead and grabbed the turn since we were last and I had a minute. Maybe you can blitz today if people are around.
Worker is done, enroute to the pigs. Capital works ivory one more turn so make sure to swap to sheep next turn. Tech selected to BW. Scout continues dancing around the bear.
Turn report? Updated map?

I forgot to take pics. Scout survived. Some food to the NE. I'll take pics if the turn comes around before I go home today. Speaking of, what's with everyone waiting until the last few hours? Come on man! I want to get this early stuff done so we can get to the good part.
I've updated the the sandbox with the new terrain. Do you see anything that changes our second city location? I think much of our dotmap decision-making rests upon covering tiles in the south as best as we can to utilize a mostly foodless terrain. Given geography/location of food/landmass shape I don't see a better way to do this than a city SE of fish, a city on the riverbend SE of sheep, and a city NE of gems that gets fish second ring. That covers all but 2 flat grass tiles on the southern coast and one grass hill that can be filler later on. So this, to me, solidifies the second city at the SE of sheep location.
City #2 could move 1E but then it loses pigs and is much weaker helping to grow the snowball. It also could go NE and grab the dry wheat 2nd ring, but we then have to figure out how to pop borders and the wheat is weaker than shared pigs anyway. And, this location then leaves an additional river grassland tile uncovered, forcing the foodless filler city in the south onto the hill tile, which we may or may not want to do. I don't know enough about the north to decide with certainty, but my best attempt for now puts a city E of wheat and then on the desert tile jutting on the northern peninsula that gets clams/cows first ring. Moving the site currently E of wheat to N of wheat would allow a second city to share the wheat tile that gets gems and can use what will otherwise be lost coast tiles, but the downside here is that this invalidates any city that can reach the clams. We just don't have a lot of options with our city placements up here. We can take a look at north of the capital when the warrior arrives. Thoughts? |
