lol, I bet that would make Serdoa nervous, if you logged in and played our turns.

I've decided that Serdoa is probably just as anxious about war with us as I am, maybe more so. we were both logged in a few days ago when Slowcheetah declared war on pindiscooter. Serdoa put in chat "phew, I just about had a heart attack when I heard that horn." hehe. plus despite a massive MFG during his golden age, I didn't see much of a spike in his power - he graduallly climbed at about the same pace as us. pretty sure he was using it to build harbors and banks. and he'll have universities to build soon, so we probably don't need to worry.

of course im still fortifying our 2 borders (mahabrata and the exodus) heavily.

Harry, this should be pretty simple. I have military where I want it and will have buildings in queue - so the only decision you'll probably have to make is worker actions, and that should be pretty obvious. I'll leave you notes where needed, of course.

lots of people have wine, so he probably sent offers to someone else for that. OTOH, we basically have a monopoly on fur - slowcheetah has one source for himself, but we are the only ones with extras to trade.

I refused, of course. we will get our own spice in 3-4 turns and don't need the sugar.

slowcheetah accepted our wine for whales trade. serdoa refused the furs for silks trade.. can't blame him as we are already giving him furs for whales. but now ill have to cancel the trade and offer him furs for silks again. ill be nice and do it after the turn rolls, waiting on scooter to play now.

I could offer plako furs for incense (his only source) and sugar, which would get us 2 happy and net him 1 happy in cities he hasn't built cathedrals in. we really don't need the happy, though - maybe we will if we get war weariness in the war with commodore?? but thats many turns off and it seems unlikely we'll need it even then, even with the +2 happy we'd lose from temporarily losing ivory.

That's definitely a unique ability of East Indiamen - I got burned by this in PBEM17 courtesy of oledavy. I thought I had his "galleons" blocked because he didn't have OB with a 3rd party, but due to him being the Dutch he caught me unaware

Did some stuff played the turn. I switched Gilgamesh to Chicken Pizza. Let's get failgold instead of wealth! Its really cheap for us and if you're worried about serdoa, his army is mostly knights. The turn hasn't rolled so I could switch it back but I think we get a lot more gold out of it. We can build it in the National Epic city for more GP points too if we have to build it ourselves.

we aren't going to get failgold, no one is going to build it. if you notice serdoa is 1 turn from gunpowder, commodore and slowcheetah have it already, so its going to be irrelevant soon.

I don't mind building it in king arthur, I think we need the 40 gold for building wealth in gilgamesh - we really need astronomy fast, as I think commodore will have chemistry soon.

ok i switched it to king arthur, which actually builds it in the same tiem frame, and switched wealth build to gilgamesh. I also did a couple of small things.

I think we need to turn on research next turn (we'll need calender by then to start the spice plantation anyway) and we may need several wealth builds to have enough cash to make it through 6 turns of 100% research
