I think your math is off by one, as your total comes to 15 and there are only 14 teams still alive. It's only 7 in favor of ending is my guess. morgan favors ending the game as well, but I haven't heard from Ref yet, and Maya will only vote to terminate if it is unanamous.
Krill, if you can come up with a plan that promises me we'd play more than a turn or 2 a week, then I might reconsider, even though it's not in my personal best interest to keep the game alive, but, really, the last aproximately 3 months have been way more about torture than fun for me.

The only way that I can think of us playing this game at a solid 1 turn a day is this:
We take a holiday, and come back at some point in the near-ish future. It could be 1st of November, say, and we also say right now, holidays over Christmas and New Years.
We all would have to agree to this. It would let us rest, and come back into the game with a bit more perspective and our lives in order. We can put a Moratorium on any major diplomacy if people worry about that sort of thing getting out of hand as well, but idle chit chat isn't a bad thing.
Should we do this? I'd be up for it if others wanted to, but I'm not going to force everyone else to continue playing.

I think the reason we've been moving so slow is that Ilios is away and meatbalz hasn't been around as a sub. Thus we're in another extended pause until he returns. After that we might be able to get going at a decent pace again (assuming that no-one else has holidays).

My math adds up to fourteen. You (Maya) was both the one asking for teammate input and listed in the still need to hear from (in other words, you were counted twice on purpose: to account for what we've heard so far -- the top part -- and who we still need to hear from. You just happened to qualify for both sections.)
Krill, I can't speak for others, but I know a lot of the reason I have changed my vote from the last time that ending the game was brought up is because with the time we've had off, I've lost all sense of investment and interest in my civ. I don't see my interest increasing with more time off, although if there were to be consistent turns, it is possible that I would start to become interested once again.

Looks like the consensus on our team is a preference to end the game, though we can and will carry on if needed.

Personally, I'd like the game to continue but I think there's too many teams who are no longer interested in continuing, so I think it's best to end the game.

I more or less agree with Swiss.
To me it seemed like the problem with starting the game back up was we (collectively) never know who we were waiting for. So we didn't know who to bug to play their turn, and when the next turn was likely to roll around so we could play promptly.

From chat:
Quote:if the rest of our team was involved I'd want to keep going
or if our in-game situation was better
OR if the other teams were passionate about playing or the turns were flying by
but without any of those, I think call it
