I mean, people have done exactly that earlier, so it's not really a problem.
Dreylin Blues 2000 is on (another) mission from Cod

I swear, if Gingac and Ljubljana go to war soon I'll have to start looking into getting a lottery ticket or something. Interestingly I am now seeing Mjmd's resources which must mean greenline still hasn't settled on the coast and there's a visible route between. Not for me though so I wouldn't get routes if either of us had Writing to Open Borders, though there is an argument to be made for a Gav-style workboat mission maybe?
T088 -
Well things are developing in the North: I double-moved them this turn because I can't affect their ability to settle where they choose, but that might change if they cross the valley since I whipped the Settler this turn (as previously planned). It doesn't look like that's their intent though, as it would fully expose the settler to my Warrior. I assume they will settle on that hill, else why move onto it rather than through the forest with the Warrior - or even around across the Copper? Our Warriors have both been watching for a couple of turns, so it's not like I've snuck up on him.
Honest question, why "here" and not 1W?
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out. (March 14th, 2024, 09:03)Commodore Wrote: Honest question, why "here" and not 1W? Hmmm. Is "because I didn't think of it" an acceptable answer, because it's probably at least the initial one. I don't have a great recent overview image of this area, so that will have to wait until this evening. It's worth noting that Silver city was 1E of "here" and sharing the Pigs until Sampsounta was founded, at which point I felt it better to shift to align borders better. After looking longer - and with the massive assumption I was previously making that Gingac intend to build a city where the Settler is currently located (I mean you probably already know where that is going) - shifting further West would open up the space for them to jam in a filler 1E or 1SE of the Silver. I would greatly prefer they don't do that. Things change a bit if they settle the valley instead as it blocks the spot 1E of the Silver, but 1SW remains available. Depends on everyone's appetite for jamming in aggressive fillers, but as noted earlier I am aiming for a harmonious border, so am generally trying to minimise offensive filler opportunities. I was messing around with the NW dotmap a few turns go, but was not thinking about how it intersects with this city location. I think that's what I'll be doing when I open the next turn - coupled with reacting to Gingac's plant.
Grabbed an image earlier but didn't have time to post:
Yes, I still hate Levees (but that one won't be settled for a while, so I can still change my mind). So that confirms they have researched through Mathematics. It makes me wonder if the grab for the Stone was also for a push to Hanging Gardens. Gingac settled 4 cities last turn to coincide with completion of Hanging Gardens. Massive food spike, and they probably aren't losing economically as they have OB with both Ljubljana and myself (at least) for a foreign route in each of the new cities. Very nice. Maybe I need to start thinking about befriending Ljubljana and turning my attention North? Am still set on not leaving space for the anti-social filler. |
