RB Pitboss #1 SPOILER - Catherine of Sumeria

Not right now, no!

BTW, meant to post something last night about last turn ... not a lot to say tbh, the Incan forces have consolidaed into two stacks, but have yet tomake a move on any city. As I could not found Nexus without exposing our entire stack to atack, the troops basically had a day off and remained where they were.

Quote:Dreylin: So we just sit here staring at each other?
Fair enough

Kevin: 1 player is keeping 3 locked down. I wouldn;t call that good strategy on your part smile

however as sunrise pointed out later, Krill's units are causing them to pay supply coss whilesitting neutral territory, whie ours sit within our borders.

Anway, new turn to play, so will be back with another update soon...

Well, looks like wewon't have to wait much longer; the Incan forces have mostly consolidated onto the tile 2SW of Taco, so it looks like they'll push into borders next turn. Force consists of:

7WE
9Cat
6HA
3Chariots

So do you think you will hang on to Taco or be forced to lose it?

If they actually attack Taco, I don't think that we can realistically expect to stop them taking it - especially now they have 9Cats in place.

However, as soon as they move enough of their stack (Cats) away from the Nexus that we can plant the city there (in what I really hope is a surprise move), their supply line will suddenly run through our culture, and we will have a defensive position from which we can strike at the tile 1SW of Taco, where their army will be located. If they continue to assault Taco at that point, we should be able to pick at their injured units and then re-take Taco before it comes out of revolt. More likely, they will turn around and assault the Nexus, in which case we will be in a position to strike out of the city and gain the first attack.

I think that critical to both these endeavours is that the full power of our force remains masked, and that Broker's HA brigade (8 in range & counting) stays hidden. Krill&Memphus may not fear the forces they can see, however if we can get the first stike on their stack, then the HA brigades should be able to clean up the remnants and Flank off the Cats.

I'm slightly concerned about the prospect of a naval invasion, although perhaps paradoxically less so following Mortius' comments - would he have mentioned the possibility if it was actually in-progess? I also think we have sufficient troops en-route that could be diverted to protect key assets ... and there's the Whip. Expect to see a couple of Triremes shortly though.

Somehow your city names are very appropriate for the current Mexican stand-off lol

Ooooh, I'll have to use that one next time I'm chatting with Krill! (full credit due, of course)

Well, that could have gone better. bang

Did you get his "sacrifice" workers? Or is it still his half of the turn?

I was going to make a grab & delete move for them (no way to hang onto them), but Krill accidentally deleted them before I could do so. He offered to support a re-load, however since I would have deleted them anyway, it saved me from having to sacrifice a unit of my own.
