No (attempt at a) good deed goes unpunished, I suppose. I was just doing a favor as requested by a team, to whom I owe and feel no allegiance, that would be inequitably negatively impacted by requesting a reload themselves. That said -- y'all (the players) should work it out among yourselves. Consider me to have been nothing more than the Pony Express agent, so please don't shoot the messenger.

Not at all - and bravely done! But to be honest, even if Sullla cropped up saying to reload, I am sure everyone would say WHY?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Reason of the reload request is current situation:

I was attacked on turn 11 by a player who declared the attack after i moved/ended the turn. I am going to be eliminated anyway. Reason why the reload is requested is that on turn 12 building of my worker finished.

I got a mail from attacker saying that he chooses first part of the turn. My understanding of the rules is that he cannot choose the first part because of poll 28. If he can choose the first part of the turn then he effectively doublemoves me and can take the free worker.

I did not read the mail from attacker before i logged and moved the worker away.

My understanding is that the attacker, would need to have 'secretly' moved in the order the turn before. The situation as i understand it is thus:

You moved and ended turn.
Aggressor declared war and moved and ended turn.
Aggressor choose first half and moves again-therefore a double move.

For him to choose first half of turn he would have had to move BEFORE you on the turn before. I.e. declared and moved before you did last turn.

Now, do we need a reload? If you're going to be 100% eliminated anyway, the person could solve this by deleting the worker?

Meanwhile, should we pause the game? If your worker isn't allowed to move, then a reload is certainly called for. I am remaining neutral on whether the worker should have moved or not until I discuss it with my team.
Lobo, since you have 4 pauses remaining, and from the sounds of it won't use them anyway. Sorry to see you go so soon.

My understanding is the attacker follows the war order one turn before declaring, so no reload should be required as the correct order has played.

As for moving in the 2nd half of the turn then requesting first half, that is a blatant request for a double move.

Edit: the other party in this affair should make themselves known, lets hear both sides.

I still have the worker and the city. I moved my worker already (i moved first in the turn thinking that i can), so if he attacks he get just the city.

edit: i am pausing the game.

From Lobo's description, it sounds like the attacker has to be 2nd in the turn order, and no reload is necessary.

And, no, I'm not disagreeing with my earlier post. I was able to discuss with (one member of) my team.

That is my reading of the double move rule too except that it would have been enough for him to just move before you last turn and declare at the start of this turn.

Oh wait - who moved first at T-2 (assuming the current turn is T0)? Consider the following ...

T-2:
Attacker moves first
Lobo.Thibron moves second

T-1:
Lobo.Thibron moves first
Attacker declares, moves [they are ok with rule 28] and claims 1st half

T0:
Attacker moves
Lobo.Thibron moves second

That is perfectly legal according to rule 28 but is an obvious double move. This double move stuff is stupid. Lets change the game to a pbem lol.
